Coleman Tent Coastline

I have now used this tent on two camping holidays one for 3 nights and then one for 6 nights and it really is great. It is really spacious inside so even with a double airbed inside there is still room on each side for a small suitcase or rucksack. The front section is brilliant for in the evenings when it gets a bit cooler or dark you can still sit on chairs inside and plenty of space for camping boxes etc. The front door also makes a great little shaded are for when the sun is too hot. The side doors are excellent for airing out the tent and getting in and out in the morning without getting wet with the moisture collected on outside of the tent overnight. During first outing with this tent we had some horrible weather with ongoing very heavy rain, thunder and wind and the tent did really well, it stayed completely dry on the inside sleeping compartment and most of the outside section. There was a small drip from the two tags which are used when you roll up the front door (or for hanging a torch off inside). These seemed to become saturated and did start to drip in the morning, although after a very heavy night's rain and such a small drip I wasn't concerned and this definitely wouldn't put me off the tent. I think it did really well in the weather. The tent is very easy to put up and take down and can be done by one person although easier with 2. The inside compartment can also be left inside when taking it down. My only very small little niggle is the 2 poles you get for putting up the front door to the front of the tent, each pole is made up of 3 parts and they do work well, however, they are really loose and don't have a click function or anything so when just holding them they fall apart. They do work when standing with the tent and you just peg the string down and as I said this is a very small niggle! This is a great tent, a bargain at the price on amazon! Fully recommend!

I was wary when I went to purchase this tent because I had bought my last one only last year on reading reviews and it did not come up to scratch. I need not have worried at all. This is a marvellous tent and does exactly what it says on the tin. It was pretty easy to put up even for the first time and, as one reviewer put it, no matter how you fold it, it does go back into the bag without too much hassle. It was fully tested on my first camp as we had glorious sunshine for the most part but I did have a couple of days where it poured down with rain. Here I will say that you need to ensure your door zips are really tightly closed ass the water will drip through. I had to open and re-close mine on both sides to stop this, but that is a minor thing. Whilst this tent was not as high as my last one, and I had to bend slightly in order to walk through in it, it did serve me well and the seating area is certainly large enough to accommodate a large table and chairs plus my cooking stuff. The bedroom is a genuine three berth but, as there was only me, I had oceans of room. I took a week's worth of gear plus fishing equipment and food etc. and I still had room enough to move around without hitting anything. It is of a packed size that makes it even good for backpacking. I was amazed at how small it did fold up to. I actually packed the tent without taking the bedroom off or the groundsheet up, but that is your choice. My one disappointment, and it is with Coleman, is that I could not find a footprint to go with this tent. It would be so useful. I had to use all sorts of things in the end as I had forgotten to take the polythene I normally take when going camping. I do wild camping In Scotland, which I believe is not allowed elsewhere, so the terrain is what you find it. I will be contacting Coleman to find out if they are going to make a footprint. This is a nitpick, though. The tent itself kept me snug and dry and the front porch area is a really great idea. As one person said, the poles are not the best, but they did hold together. Also, to my surprise, the tent pegs provided actually did the job. Normally, the first thing I get rid of is the manufacturer's tent pegs as they are useless, but the ones in the pack from Coleman proved more than adequate. I can recommend this tent to anyone, be they individuals or a small family. It s suitable for any type of camping, be it car, bike, bicycle or backpacking, and I am looking forward to using it for many years to come.

I bought this tent about five years ago. I don't use it very often, which is perhaps why it is still going strong. This is a really good tent for one person who likes a lot of space when they are camping in one place for a week or two. I have camped in it for a fortnight with a suitcase and big rucksack full of equipment, and there's plenty of room for the luggage and my inflatable bed inside the bedroom. It's nice to have the porch area to sit in of an evening, and there's enough headroom for you to sit comfortably without touching the roof. We have used the tent for two people, but that doesn't leave a lot of room for your gear, especially if you are camping for more than a few days. There's easily enough room for a double airbed in the bedroom, and you won't feel like the walls are in your face. Two people can sit comfortably on deck chairs in the porch, although there isn't much room for other camping furniture in there. When we go on longer trips, we take our massive 5 person tent (why camp when you can glamp?), but for short trips, this tent would be fine for two people. I have used this tent in windy weather and with torrential rain, and it stays very stable and completely dry inside. My only concern is the porch groundsheet (which is why this tent gets 4 stars instead of 5 stars). Other reviewers have noted that the groundsheet isn't a perfect fit around the sides, and when the rain is hammering down, some of it is likely to get into the porch. Being very waterproof, puddles form in the porch and your gear gets wet. My solution to this is to not use the porch groundsheet at all. If you do use it, on rainy nights don't leave anything in the porch that objects to getting wet. The good thing is that the porch groundsheet is separate from the bedroom compartment, so that will stay completely dry even if you have a puddle in the porch. The tent is very easy to erect by one person. Stick all the poles through the sleeves first, then peg the tent down at the back, walk the arched poles forward to make a tent shape, and peg it down at the front. You can get the tent up like this in about ten minutes, then stash your stuff inside and spend another twenty minutes pegging and adjusting guy ropes outside. This makes it a good option if you are putting the tent up in rubbish weather. Oh, one last thing. Adults can't stand up in this tent (unless they are exceptionally short), but you don't have to grovel about on your hands and knees. It is tall enough for you to stoop over, which makes it easy to move around, get dressed, and sort out your gear. I cannot be bothered with small tents where you have to crawl about or get dressed lying on your bed. I want a sense of space and freedom of movement, and that's what you get with this tent. Recommended.

We bought this tent for a trip to Scotland, and it performed really well, especially in difficult weather conditions. We experienced a thunderstorm with strong winds and heavy rain, and the tent handled the wind very well. The overall structure felt strong and stable, which gave us confidence during the storm. The main structure and design were also very good for rainy weather. However, we did notice that there are a few gaps around the main section where some water can get into the tent during rain . This is something to be aware of, but it didn't take away from our overall experience. Overall, we are happy with this tent and would recommend it.

Very good tent used it for a festival fit me and my fiance perfect, we had plenty of space for our bags, a lil square table and 2 camping chairs in the lil front area, very small cooler, area for our shoes it was great and we had some heavy rain, wind and it handles it fine, ventilation was good as well, we put up the tent in 15-20 minutes, taking it down though in rain was not fun you need to wrap it up perfectly or it won't fit fully in the bag, it's good though as long as you know how to pack it it fits, I really liked the side pockets on each side on inside as well very handy to hold stuff you don't want to lose but may need at night.

I needed to get a larger tent as my child is now the size of an adult! We tested it this weekend and there was plenty of room for three - normally when you buy a tent, if it says three man , its really only suitable for two and so on. BUT this tent is actually big enough for three. I am experienced camper so I found this easy to put up on my own, but if you have not camped before an extra pair of hands would be good (the instructions are in the bag and you can watch a tutorial on you tube). I did not rain but the tent has a hydrostatic head of 3000mm which gives me confidence (my old tent had this rating and got me through some pretty awful weather). When I put it back in the bag, i left the bedroom and ground sheet attached and it all went back in the bag easily (if you are not experienced camper there are videos on you tube about how to pack away a tent - this might sound silly but worth watching). The porch area has a ground sheet - this is great for storing gear. If it rained it would not be too bad hunkering down in there as a group of three. The porch has three doors so you not be clambering over each other to dash to the loo. Overall this is an excellent tent at a good price that will see you through many camping trips in the glorious brittish weather

Wind resistance ----------------------- It held up in 30mph gusts wind recently with no leaks. It did blow down at the front though during the day when we wern't there but I blame the stoney ground for that, allowing the pegs to come loose. You can add additional support though by pegging down the front flap when closed (using the guys used for when it's open and stood up with the supports). After doing that it held up all night in that wind. (Although I did park our small car (Toyota Aygo) in between us and the wind - it is a hoop type tent after all! Durability ------------- It's not going to be the most robust tent I dont feel. The seams are all good and I have faith in it that it won't leak but the slits/tunnels the poles go through need to be more durable. After one use the poles have rubbed a hole in the material. A pole joint is right under the place where the loop of material which holds the tent-end of the guy ropes sits, so it's double trouble, the pole rubs against the fabric from the inside and the guy rope holding loop rubs from the outside. Not ideal. After a second use the hole doesn't seem to have enlarged though. Poles -------- The fibre glass is probably ok and they are reasonably think, but it's a cheap design. The elastic holding the sections together is quite weak and the pole joints are not chamfered at all so (as per above) they will rub against their 'tunnels' and fray the material. They have not even been sanded off either, so like I said, cheap. Comes with ----------------- Lots of pegs, lots of them, more than you need! Normal pegs though, not fancy ones, but they do seem of good quality. Bag -------- No problem getting the tent back in the bag, it's snug but not too tight. And at the moment it looks as if it's best to detach the inner tent from the outer before packing away but I need to practice the other method (not detaching) before I can pronounce a firm judgement.

Great tent, perfect size for two people and our camping stuff. Could definitely fit more people but we like to bring a bunch of stuff with us. Light weight for a tent this size and easy to put up. It does get a lot of condensation in the porch area which is normal but I have sprayed the whole thing with waterproofing spray as it was dripping into the porch in the morning. The two side doors are great for privacy and ventilation. The only complaint I have is that the toggles to keep the front door rolled up are too short so I had to improvise with hair bands if I wanted to keep the front door rolled out the way.

Tältet var mycket enkelt att sätta upp, man kunde nästan stå upprätt i tältet. Det är fint att även yttertältet har golv. Kan verkligen rekommendera det

Per averla pagata poco più di 100 euro per me è un’ottima tenda, facile e veloce da montare, economica e spaziosa, perfetta per due persone se si vuole stare comodi. La borsa non è molto voluminosa ed è abbastanza leggera. La tenda ha anche una buona tenuta alla pioggia ma la di deve montare correttamente (non è difficile comunque).

This tent has lots of positive sides but insulation could be improved. It has spacious room. It protects well against the rain. High speed wind is not a problem neither. The transport bag is a bit small after the first use because it’s not possible to put the tent back the way it was in factory. What could be improved: heat insulation! Nowadays you’ll find tents with thermal and light insulation but here is not. Prepare for high temperature when the sun is strong. The other big plus of treatments is constant darkness for a better sleep. I guess both light and heat insulation are an all in one cloth treatment.

Das Zelt wurde für ein Camping-Wochenende angeschafft und bislang auch nur für dieses verwendet. Wenn weitere Eindrücke dazukommen, werde ich die Bewertung erweitern Verpackung ======== Das Zelt kommt in einer für die Zeltgröße recht kleinen Tasche. Dies lässt erstmal ein nervenaufreibendes Zusammenpacken befürchten, was sich zum Glück als unbegründet herausstellte Aufbau ===== Der Aufbau ist einfach. Drei Stagen durchs Außenzelt, abspannen, Innenzelt einhängen, Vorzelt-Wanne einhängen, fertig. Erster Eindruck =========== Sehr geräumig und angenehm hohe Innenhöhe. Das Zelt hat drei Eingänge, die alle auf der Vorderseite liegen. Links, rechts und in der Mitte. Alle sind von den Abmessungen und von der Höhe so, dass man auch als Großer so rein und rauskommt, ohne sich am möglicherweise nassen Zelt einen nassen Rücken zu holen. Erste Nacht (kein Regen) ========= Das Zelt hat drinnen einige Seitenfächer für Kleinkram und eine Öse in der Decke. Hier könnte man eine Lampe befestigen. Meine bisherigen Zelte hatten statt einer Öse einen Haken, so dass man eine Lampe einfach per Schlüsselring einhängen konnte. Das ist etwas schade, so musste ich sie festtüddeln. Hat aber auch geklappt. Falls Strom vorhanden ist, verfügt das Innenzelt über eine Kabel-Durchführung, die sich per Reißverschluss bei Bedarf öffnen und schließen lässt. Die Durchführung ist mit ~10cm lang genug, um auch große Objekte durchzuführen. Erster Morgen =========== Da Regen glücklicherweise ausblieb, bezieht sich die Feuchtigkeits-Erfahrung nur auf den üblichen Morgen-Tau. Also Tröpfchen auf der Oberfläche des Außenzelts, im Inneren blieb aber alles trocken Es ist bei dieser Art Zelt wichtig, beim Aufbau auf ein korrektes Abspannen zu achten, so dass das Innenzelt genug Abstand zur Außenhaut hat. Mir ist aufgefallen, dass an der Rückwand beide Komponenten Kontakt hatten, so dass das Innenzelt an der Stelle feucht wurde. Da kann das Zelt aber nix für. Am Morgen wurde es schnell ziemlich unerträglich heiß im Zelt - aber auch das ist nicht die Schuld des Zelts. Wenn die Sonne drauf steht, wird es eben heiß. Abbau ===== Der Abbau ist im Wesentliche der Aufbau in umgekehrter Reihenfolge. Es ist empfehlenswert, die Einzelteile nach Möglichkeit sorgfältig und beidseitig trocknen zu lassen, um Gammel-Bildung vorzubeugen. Die Materialien trocknen aber in der Sonne angenehm schnell. Das Zusammenrollen sollte möglichst sorgfältig geschehen, damit alles in die Tasche passt. Sie scheint aber sinnvoll dimensioniert, so dass gleich der erste Versuch mit nur medium akkurat gefalteten Teilen zum Erfolg geführt hat. Fazit ==== Sehr schönes Zelt. Gut verarbeitet, attraktiver Preis, voll zu empfehlen.

The tent has a great design, good sized sleeping space and if needed the front section opens up into a small gazebo. What could be improved is the quality of the pegs (very cheap and break easily) and the zips (these are not robust and also feel like they could break easily.
