The chart is black and white. You also get a more detailed chart for the out lining back stitch and any french knots

It's not pre-stamped. Sometimes, the organisation will do one which is stamped and one that is not. From the information, this is not. It's a lovely one to do.

I'm a total beginner, What size cross stitch frame would you need to use?

I never use a frame, I find it just gets in the way with larger pieces. I started with the sand a did a set section so I didn't lose track of where I was. I take a copy of the pattern before I start and use a pencil to shade in the areas once they are stitched so its easier to see where I am. This piece is lovely when it's finished. Good luck!
