Excellent value for money. This light is very bright. I use it to show swirl marks in my cars paintwork, and it does this too effectively, its very cruel as it shows every defect!The only thing letting this product down is the cable is very short, rediculously so.

Great buy. I use this for several hours everyday for a week and it's still going strong. It does get very hot so be careful. If you're looking for a good spotlight then this should do. Gives a nice arc of light and the bulb is pretty powerful.

I don't normally write product reviews, but I felt I had to on this occasion. I received this lamp today and put it to use straight away in the garage whilst doing some work. The lamp was bright and work was going well...until it exploded. Luckily the front glass didn't break but a pool of glass and liquid chemical was left inside the lamp. I guess you get what you pay for.

There are a number of different 'work lights' available on Amazon, but I thought I'd give this particular model a go because of its mostly positive reviews and its competitve pricing.It arrived packaged in a cardboard box, the cardboard used was thin though and gives little protection, fortunately I purchased the item direct from Amazon so this was then placed in a second much stronger box for delivery; I mention this because I don't think it would take too much for this item to be damaged in transit, so recommend that if potential buyers choose a Marketplace supplier they check how the item will be sent.The lamp is very lightweight, so much so that I would question its overall durability; don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it is poorly made, its just that this should be taken into account when deciding what it will be used for and how often.The lamp comes supplied with a C Class 400w Quartz Halogen Bulb; this is in its own packaging to prevent damage, I liked this because there is nothing more annoying then getting an item delivered only to find out it won't work!It is weather resistant and is thus suitable for use both indoors and outdoors; although the lead provided is not particularly long at just 1.37 metres so an extension will almost certainly be required.There is a foam grip handle on the top to help with carrying it; it is designed to be used free-standing with the actual light itself having an adjustable angle.The glass cover for the light is tempered and thus heat resistant and there is also a pretty decent wire guard to provide further protection.The light is VERY bright, but be aware that it heats up very quickly and gets tremendously hot, so much so that it is quite possible to burn oneself if not careful.I would recommend purchasing a back-up bulb at the same time because in my experience it is quite difficult to guage just how long they will last; also they can be very expensive in shops, and a significant saving can be made online.Overall a really good little work lamp; yes there are almost certainly better quality ones out there but you will pay accordingly, this lamp is perfect for ocassional use or in an area where it is unlikely to get damaged and not have too much prolonged use.

I wish I had bought this light before I started the redecoration project, rather than using assorted lamps/lights. It makes a massive difference, the very bright light illuminating the work area superbly well. As others have noted, the unit gets hot quickly and care needs to be taken to ensure cables do not come into contact. Very good value product.

The reason for buying this was for lighting for video/photography.You are required to fit the stand for the lamp yourself which takes no longer than 2 minutes and to also fit the halogen bulb in too which comes wrapped in bubble wrap in a box instead of the lamp itself.Be sure to follow the instructions on how to fit in the bulb as you need to do it without using your bare hands.After spending 5 minutes carefully fitting in the bulb, I came to find that the lamp didn't work which led me to question whether it was the lamp that was broken or the bulb itself.Thankfully, I went out and bought a new bulb for £2 from a store, replaced it with the old one and found that the lamp worked.The lamp is REALLY bright which is great but, like other reviewers have stated, casts big shadows and gets hot quite quickly. You may need an extension for it too as the power cable isn't that long.Overall, I'm quite happy with the lamp but the only issues I have with it is the fact that the colour of the light is yellowy rather than white (which would have been ideal for camera-work although the lamp was not designed for that purpose in the first place) and the fact that I had to spend a little more money for replacing the non-functioning halogen bulb that came with the lamp which may have been due to the poor packaging as I felt it could have been packaged a little more securely.

Bought for working in garage, great light to work with compared to ordinary bulb products. Doubles up as a light for the attic area when needed. Light and easy to carry even when on as handle does not get hot. Great value in my opinion.

Useful I bought as a light for my filming. Just as a general background or fill light. Seems pretty good for the price, feels solid. Also can put proper 3200k balanced bulbs in maybe. Very BRIGHT!!!
