That's exactly like the original MS FSX and works wonderfully on Windows 10. You need to make sure your PC is up to date.
Took me few weeks to resolve the game activation issue but that flight sim is fantastic. I'm running Windows 10 with a HP Pavillion Slimline desktop with CPU Intel Dual Core 64bits E5800 @ 3.20 GHz clock, 4 GBytes RAM, and 1 TByte HD. The GPU is a NVidia GeForce GT730 running at 901 MHz clock over 64 bit data bus with 3 GBytes of available RAM. The display is a LG TV LCD 1ms refresh time. Since the game will run only connected to Steam server you need a good speed internet connection (mine shows around 1.5 Mbits/second data rate for download). The game has same airplanes as the original Microsoft FSX DeLuxe version and it's nice fly anywhere you choose to. Really nice flight sim.

Super fast delivery but slow download
Been flying since the late 70s and found the Steam Edition very responsive and better than FSX Deluxe Edition which I will eventually delete. I was not prepared for the 4 hour download so I went for a walk down the Thames. Why not supply a DVD with a serial number? Bought 3 Carenado aircraft and spent hours doing their beta testing because many instrument buttons did not work and I fly IFR. Steam Support think that an empty reply is a resolution. Steam would not refund so I disputed in Paypal and Steam refused to reply to them and PP refunded in total. Great game, crap addons, lousy Steam service. Always us Amazon or PP for addons.

Disappointing
Does not work with windows 10, the install program from Steam fails to run. Installed fine on Windows7.Fast internet connection required, I have 78Mb/sec and it took about 20 mins. to download. Game is huge so the higher your computer spec. the better. I have an Intel I5 processor and 16GByte of ram and the performance is still poor. Not a great difference between this game and FS2004 and have decided to revert to it.£13 or so down the drain for now, but expect in a few years and a faster computer all will be well. This is exactly what happened with fs2004, I had to wait until the hardware became affordable to do justice to the program.

What I would like to know is what do you get for your money,I already have flight sim x with the acceleration part this all works , so what is steam sending you a membership that's all and extra games for sale, nothing on a disk and £13 for being a member time someone got their finger out and started to put things on disk,I still play flight sim X and the only difference is you see steam picture before you enter the game, otherwise it is just the same as like I said I still have the game on the hard drive, steam is for trains etc unless someone has a steam tiger moth disappointed

Down to earth, with a few bumps!
Only thing I really hate is the huge downloads that seem to happen when you connect to Steam (you want to fly really). I've lost count how many Gigabytes have been downloaded over the months - lucky I have a very fast connection. And you do need to be online to use it. Also when the game closes or you interrupt it for whatever reason, you are forever pressing buttons to get rid of the error messages that come up. The Steam server seems to be incapable of recognising that a connection has stopped. Re-opening the program gets an error message that the game is already in use. With hindsight I should have bought the standalone version. Then it would have been install, use.Update, not much has changed over the years. Yes, I've updated airports, lots of AI planes flying around now as well as some good flight models obtained. Try landing at London City :-) but I've bought very little from Steam itself. The Steam interface interferes when you least expect it. Went to go fly this morning and it wants to do another update. 1hour later, still waiting. Totalled! God knows what update is running. Maybe something to do with the recent announcement by Microsoft starting to re-engage with their product. Will I be able to, you know, actually use the game today. Reminds me a bit like Android and Windows, forever downloading updates and meanwhile we all just sit back and wait. Currently grounded! That standalone version really should be bought. Then I could dump Steam in its entirety!

Highly recommended
The reason I bought the steam addition is I uninstalled FSX To try and get Ultimate traffic 2 to work (Been trying for about 6 months) When I reinstalled FSX It re regestered ok but then somehow reverted to the demo version. It said I needed to register it with some microsoft store. Re installed UT2 it still would not work either.Unbelievable. I gave up with it and as the steam version was very reasonably priced I uninstalled FSX and went for the steam version. To be honest I have never looked back, microsoft did me a favour. Steam seems to be more crisp and stable and the graphics are much better I noticed too that you can see the runway guide lights from much further away. Conclusion: I would highly recommend the steam version over FSX. (Oh I still could not get Ultimate traffic to work.)

Very good , can be slower to load than my previous version but this may just be my machine! Very good value for the money. My 6 year old grandson flys away in free-flight mode and loves it. The 3 year old also insists on having his turn.

Average
If you play this then you have FAR to much time on your hands. It is pretty fun but listening top the voice spoils the games.Push E to start engines, that automatically starts the APU and multiple other things so minimises the experience.Just want to fly then its the one for you :P
