Do you need to put this in the first and acing coat for it to work or just the second coat?

John says you need to put it in both coats for large areas. Demo videos are on YouTube.

Would this work on a bag of multi plaster thats 2/3 months out of date? If so would it increase the working time? Thanks

As long as plaster had been stored dry, yes, it should work.

Yes, usually about a couple of years

Does it work with carlite finish?

No reason why it shouldn’t, it’s a retarder, I believe there are quite a few products from this company. It works extremely well on multifinish when doing big hits by yourself.
