Read this is you are allergic to house dust/ pollen etc. To all my friends who suffer from hay fever or are allergic to house dust etc. About 6 weeks ago I bought a pot of bee propolis from Amazon. An old bee keeper left us his books etc and very interestingto read about the advantages of taking bee propolis. The theory is that bees have not had to evolve much as they are very resistant to virus- their protection being propolis. We decided to take it because of the virus. After a few days my massive eruption of morning sneezes had stopped. After having a massive vacuum and dust of the house- which normally leaves me with eyes streaming- sneezing like a mad woman and with night asthma- no issues. Went in the garden yesterday - cut the (long) grass and spent about 4 hours weeding. Normally I have quite a acute hay fever for about 6-8 weeks - last night I had a very slight stuffy nose that lasted about half an hour. I don’t usually endorse products but these have had a significant effect on me. If you have suffered like I have over the years- really worth a shot. You shouldn’t take if allergic to bee products or on blood thinners i.e warfarin. These are the ones I bought from amazon- worth every penny x

The smell of these wonderful capsules is very distinctive, especially when the tub is first opened. I'm not sure what tree pollen tastes like, but the smell makes them taste "resinous" to me. "Reassuringly" natural? But, does the taste matter, when the lozenge-shaped capsules slip down so easily? Which reminds me: There is a warning on the tub explaining not to take them if you are allergic to wood pollen. Luckily, I am not. Because for me these Propolis capsules are the only thing I will take for coughs and sore throats. They even kept a tooth access at bay until I could get to the dentist, by which time it had subsided enough for the dentist to work on the tooth without additional, chemical anti-biotics. Please note: 1. I have nothing more than a natural wariness of medicines, including anti-biotics. However, if the job can be done by a natural germ killer, such as Propolis, I much prefer this option 2. I CAN ONLY SPEAK FOR MYSELF! They help me. That's the only 'evidence ' I have. But, I do offer, and recommend them to friends - only after having checked they don't get hay fever during tree pollen season!

Moved over to these form the liquid version. Much much easier to take, not quite as good value as the liquid but happy enough.

I've been taking propolis for about 8 years now and have not had flu or even a cold /cough during this time. Maybe I've got a good immune system, i don't know, but because I've been taking them for so long, and i only take one tablet, I can't stop now, incase I start getting colds and coughs again! Even though I been told its only a placebo, its still worth it because I literally don't catch anything. In case you don't know, bees line their hives with this sticky yellow stuff which protects the hive from all infections and germs. So if it protects their hives it must also protect us! This is the principle behind taking propolis.
