Practice in (near) silence!
Really quality product which is small and portable, sound quality through any old headphones / earphones is superb. Was pleasantly surprised to find that it has a few built in effects: Reverb, delay and chorus (I believe) and also has 3 different settings for a more clean tone, dirty tone then more distorted tone. Really fun to play around with and suitable to practice quietly in (near) silence.

Great little headphone amp
It works really well, hisses a bit when gain is added but that's to be expected, goes from a nice flat clean sound to full on (near metal)distortion although if you add too much gain the sound gets a bit muddy and doesn't have great mid tones. the multiple options to the FX is what makes it great though, chorus, delay & reverb, just hold the FX button and the channel/power button down together and it cycles through 3 versions of each effect with each press, personal favourite is the 2nd delay setting for clean and the 1st chorus for crunchy sounds, just adds that little bit extra to my sound. The only downside for me is that it doesn't seem to handle the low B of my seven string that well but that could just be my earphones.

Nice sounds, bit cheap looking.
In terms of sound quality, of the nine FX levels achievable, maybe three are of any real use to me (I've never had any use for chorus effects and the delay effects aren't adjustable so don't really work for me.) That said, the three settings that do work, work well. I've spent three or four sessions really enjoying the sounds I'm getting from Strat, Tele (with P90 pup it really works) and Fender Jazz. Through a decent set of cans the sound is full and deep, good brights and adequate bass end. The aux input allows you to jam along with your mp3 or phone, tablet etc. Works well with no noise on the feed. Build quality - maybe 2 out of 10. Feels really cheap and fragile. Looks disappointingly cheap, too. Half inclined to doubt this is a genuine VOX product. Supplied instructions - none supplied. 0 out of 10. Time will tell, I guess. If it stays in one piece I'll be content with what it gives me.

Great value for money, a handy wee practiceamp
I've just taken delivery of my Vox amPlug2 Blues headphone guitar amp. Described in the documentation as a 'Clean Blues' Lead headphone guitar amplifier. Overnighted to my letterbox in under 12hours, imo Impressively quick. Manufactured by Korg of Japan for Vox Amplification it looks like, judging from the paperwork in the packaging. After reading some mixed reviews on Amazon I feel that I can dispel two negative points immediately: One) It does come with full instructions included. Easy to miss, secreted as it is in the fold of the cardboard package stiffener. It takes 2xAAA batteries. Comes supplied with a pair of batteries(Chinese 'SuperHeavyDuty' manganese!) Rated for 4hours @ FX On - 9hours @ FX Off. With alkaline batteries this is promised to rise to 11hours and 17hours respectively. There is no facility to be able to employ an exterior power supply, to save on batteries. Two) it is made of the same type of plastic as my Sony headphones, and most of my other electronic gadgets. Maybe not gig proof, but imo absolutely robust enough for home use. The controls are quite small and fiddly, commensurate with the size of the amp, but imo adequate for the task. I'd guess most users will find the setting that suits them, then leave things at that. The On/Off button on the left side doubles as the Mode button. It has an led indicator beside it that cycles through the three modes: Mode1 green Clean Mode2 orange Crunch Mode3 red Lead. The FX button on top cycles through the 4 conditions Off - Chorus - Delay - Reverb . The level of each effect Low - Medium - High is obtained by holding down the FX button and cycling the On/Off button, Indicated by the number of beeps. These settings I'm sure will come down to matters of personal taste. Find a setup that you're happy with, the amp will reboot to the same settings you were last using. There is a 30minute auto-off. This will initiate if the amp is not detecting a strong enough input signal. On top of the unit are also: A 1/8th" Aux output socket. Thumb Dials for 'Gain' 'Tone' & 'Volume'. Each marked 1 to 10. On the right end is the 1/8th" signal out/headphone socket. On the back is a standard 1/4" jackplug. Rotatable through 180° in 45° increments. Ideal configuration for a front facing jack, strat-type guitar. Output, I am happy to be able to say, is clean and free of hum or hisses. Another point I was concerned about, after reading some of the reviews on here. Power is adequate for practicing, without blowing the doors off anything, which is what I wanted and expected. I have ordered myself an extra 1/8" to 1/4" guitar lead, so that I can plug the amp output through a footpedal etc to my headphones. All in all, a pleasant no-fuss little headphone amp, that for not much money does what it is supposed to, ie lets you practice in peace without troubling anyone around you.

Great little gadget
Received this for Christmas, yes its made of plastic, but can we all get over that and recall that guitar playing is primarily about SOUND. You are unlikely to be taking this on any punishing international tours, this is instead a fantastic, lightweight and small device, which sounds great and lets you practise in near silence. I have heard that some people are piping entire pedalboards into these now, as a way of playing and tinkering with their pedals, during silent play, haven't tried that yet, but it's next up! For the money I wouldn't hesitate.

Vox headphones amp.
It only runs mobile phone type, not studio standard headphones. Don't recall that mentioned in the description. It has 3 varieties of amp sound by pressing a small button and variations on each by holding the button down and pressing the power on/off button. Must give that a try one day. Not terrificly impressive but it'll do. Advice is not to leave it plugged in ref damage risk and at that size, easily misplaced.

Brilliant for beginner guitarist
Got this for myself to go with an electric guitar hand-me-down I got. This is a fantastic piece of kit and sounds amazing. The freedom to connect it to the guitar and headphones is great. Sound is very versatile for practicing. It sounds great playing crunchy riffs.

Could be better but its actually fun.
I was hoping to be wowed by the sound. Haven't tried with humbuckers yet but strat sounds quite thin. Feels low quality and switches are poorly positioned and badly designed. It's not as good as my rockman x100 from 1995 Edit. Since Plato g around more I have fou d that this little amp can be good fun. 3.5mm line in let's you play music into it so you can jam. Where it shines is how it can turn any wireless speaker with an aux in, into a decent sound g speaker. I used a jbl extreme and a flip and both sound excellent. Good fun and im glad i bought it. I stand by my comments re buttons and ergonomics but its ok.

Tiny earbuds, traveler headless guitar and VOX amPlug! If you don’t have traveler guitar you may still use it very well with normal guitars. - It sounds amazingly well. - It is tiny, little, tiny. - It lasts very long on two AAA batteries - It has preset build in effects (chorus, delay, reverb), one can be used at a time, no adjustments There are some “bads” also: - The is no built-in tuner (I am really missing it) Fair warning for some users: - It may damage your ears (that little thing can be very loud! Be careful and wise when using it)
