First cricket set - micro
Ordered micro set for 3 year old as an intro to cricket rather than buying as a toy. Was more expensive than some sets, but the cheaper ones appeared to be too plasticy and toy like. This one seemed to be more sturdy.Set was fully intact on arrival unlike some other reviews.Cricket set came in its own bag to keep everything together. Bag seems to be well made with carry handle. It was immediately noticed, as other reviewers have mentioned, the bag had a really bad (putrid) smell to it from the fabric used. Hope this lessens over time. The actual set looks good and grown up. Stumps did take some pushing down into the wicket base, but as being so tight they are unlikely to fall out during use. The stumps are made in 2 halves and joined together. The top of the stumps have an indentation to sit the bails on them. However, the joining of the 2 halves of the stumps has left the tops a bit uneven and look a bit unfinished where the bails should sit.The tops of the stumps have holes for inserting either water or sand to make them more stable in wind. Holes are so small not sure how you'd fill the stumps or indeed unfil them completely. Don't think the hole is funtional and would be better without it and perhaps creating a better and smoother surface for the bail to sit on.Bat is a good size with some age appropriate weight but not too heavy and it looks like a "real" bat though still plastic.Came with a junior softee (training) ball. Thought that was going to be a foam one. May will purchase a separate lighter foam ball for initial use and gradually build up to the softee ball that came with the set until 3 year old has got used to performing the bat/ball action.Feel this is a good intro set and despite some little issues mentioned above, it is still a good buy and will last a few years until moving up to a larger bat set.

Birthday Gift
Brought this for my 9 year olds birthday it ok but not worth the price tag, it’s plastic and the stumps don’t withstand wind, also the bat is on the small side and I will need to purchase a bigger one soon. That said it comes in a storage bag to keep altogether which is a nice touch and my boy loves it to take to the park, he has so much fun with it, comes with a nice soft cricket ball but you do only get one so I purchased tennis balls to go with

Great starter kit
This was a gift for our grandson. He loves cricket. So it was a win, win. The stumps don’t have anything to hold them down, which would be useful

Rubbish
Not worth the money, bat broke on first game. Wickets don’t sit in the stand. Ball flat no way of pumping up. Only good thing is the bag it’s all kept in. Only gave it 1 star so I could do a review. Stay well away. Too expensive for what it is
