Provide there is at least 7 hour off light but also feeding is important and co2 as well only when all factors are there will it grow and it grows really quickly. Just let it float on the top of the water until you have required amount then attach to were you want it but do remember it can overtake everything in the tank so prune often once you have it up and running. gorden
