Amazing and precise paint removal tool
In conjunction with paint panther paint stripper this tool is amazing and very effective at removing paint. Used it with the paint stripper to remove paint off stairs handrails for a lovely two tone effect by keeping the original paint on the stair spindles.

Most useful tool
Well made. Care needed, very effective when used with proper hard to get paint stripper. But need to be gentle not to score the wood underneath.

Seems OK, could have been made by any manufacturer..no Stanley branding on the tool or packaging.
Reviewed Nov 2022:Bought this simply because it was on a daily special, and I wanted another scraper.When it arrived, it was in clear plastic packaging, but with no branding on the packaging nor the scraper itself. Not important to me, but if I'd payed the RRP, I'd be wondering what I paid for vs a no band item what was probably the same.I've used it for digging out some cracks in plasterboard joints before filling them to make them good. (2 lessons, 1: hire a professional snagging company 2: don't buy a house from Abby Mills Builders).Its pretty robust, no signs of the scraper part coming loose, the handle coming off or anything, but I'm using it as a DIY'er not as a professional.One thing to mention, the wooden handle is OK but its not something I'd want to use for hours at a time. I've another 'no brand' scraper with a rubbery/plastic handle, and its more comfy to use. I'd think that after prolonged use of this item, I'd feel it.Overall, great value for the price I paid. But I'd not buy again, I think there are better ones out there, even if I'm a bit of a Stanley 'tool tart' at heart.

Very good quality tool.
I've had this tool for quite a long time now and it's an excellent quality tool. Very well made and very reliable. It's done a lot of work and it's still in excellent shape. Very pleased with it.

Great tool
A great tool for removing paint. Am using it on its own, but also with a heat gun, and I am really happy so far. No negatives so far.

Stanley shave hook
Arrived with ferrule loose. I had to glue it in position. Should not have been sent out like that. Looks fit for purpose apart from that.
