Pro All Surface SwingBall

Instructions are clear and easy to read which made for a stress free assembly. Arrived quickly and included everything. All parts of the set fit snugly into the base which enables it to be stored and carried without a problem. Fun for both adults and children. Height can be adjusted by removing a pole which means that it can be lowered for children to use if necessary. The set is very sturdy overall, especially the bats. It feels like it will be very long lasting. Works well on both grass and sand which are the surfaces that it has been used on so far.Ideal for a bit of fun at a summer barbecue or just to play as a family.

I previously had the cheaper version which served us well until the ball parted company into some trees so I decided to get the upgraded pro version. I'm glad I did particularly for older kids. With the pro, the ball swings more freely, it has more travel up and down meaning longer games and the base is larger so the whole thing is more sturdy because of the extra weight of sand or water in the base. This does mean that it's much more difficult to move and put away out of the rain as it is very heavy. Bats are heavier and thicker than the cheaper version too so good for getting more power. If you like to smash the ball hard then the pro's for you but for younger kids the other smaller version is also good. Really fun game that's great for a small garden. Even take it on holiday as it all packs nicely into the box.

In short: Good fun, fairly robust. Scoring is not automaticBought this to replace a 5 year old, worse for wear "all surface swingball". The pro version has thicker poles, bats and a deeper base, none of which are a useful improvement over the previous version in my opinion. The poles, being tubular steel were never a weak spot, the previous base (filled with water) rarely tipped over and the bats are the same honeycomb construction quickly showing signs of plastic fatique but holding together well despite this. In my experience the parts that actually break are the catches on the base and the wheel at the top of the spiral which don't appear to be any improvement on this version (don't leave it out in the open for prolonged periods as the sun degrades the plastic).

Bought this for my kids to play outside - but we play play as well (great stress reliever!). Apart from just having FUN it of course teaches kids a lot of skills which will help in the future. My kids are quite young so I was able to make sure that I did not fit one pole so that it was lower for my kids height and as they grow and become taller I can then fit the other pole to extend the height. It was easy to put together (instructions are there) and it is sturdy (you can fill the base with water or sand). Its easy to dissemble and take on any outdoor holidays i.e camping etc.

The Good:Good quality, I recomend filling with water to stabilise the base. When finished, tip the water intop a flower bed and pack the bats away. Sand is messy. Really easy to setup and the number of spirals gives a long game. Comes with bats, just add a ballast to stop it tipping over.The not so good: The scoring pointers are a joke, dont waste your time ( pointless anyway if you pardon the pun :)Good purchase, kids and adults love it. Looks like it will last years.

Good fun for kids and adults. We bought this for our camping trips and it has been used regularly since.Vast improvement on the swingball of the old days I was used to.All items are packed into the base box and assembly takes less than five minutes even the kids could set it up and it stores easily.Difference with this to the old style is the base box needs to be weighted using water or sand, this does mean you don't have to put this into the grass and therefore allows you to play anywhere within reason.Equipment is strong and robust with a pair of good solid bats included.

I suppose it's too much to expect that something you bought years ago for your kids is going to have the same level of quality when you purchase it again over 20 years later. The storage case which is also the base of the Pro All Surface SwingBall is incredibly flimsy and feels like it requires very careful handling. As SwingBall can be quite a robust pass time I am not convinced this new one will last as long as my kids did. To be honest I wish I had kept it and not sent it to the charity shop. My advice is handle with care!

Always wanted one of these ever since they first came out years ago. It's better than I remember it too, as it has had a lot of improvements over the 'stick it in the ground' original. It all comes in a plastic case which doubles as a weight-able base (we fill it with water but you can also use sand), the main mast is made up of sections of light steel tube and the tethered ball is a (replaceable) real tennis ball... that you can really 'thwack'! We got it up and running within minutes and between me and the missus, it got quite competitive...! The kids wanted a go but only reluctantly got a look in eventually...! A great garden toy. Recommended.

This game is awesome. It was fast and easy to setup. At first I used a couple of bricks and topped up with water for the base. Now that I found more extra brick and paving stones, I just fill the base with those and skip the water. This makes it a lot easier when travelling than the sand the instructions say you should use. I have an 11 and 13 year old playing with it as well as 2 adults and the base is sturdy.I did find the clips from the top to the base a bit flimsy and wish they held tighter.

Ich kannte ähnliche Ausführungen noch aus meiner Jugend und hatte damals schon viel Spaß damit. Kurzerhand habe ich also nun dieses hier zum 8. Geburtstag meiner Tochter bestellt, meine Erwartungen wurden absolut erfüllt:Das Teil kommt zerlegt in einer Box, welche dann gleichzeitig mit Wasser oder Sand gefüllt als Standfuß dient. Man kann das gute Stück dadurch auch jederzeit wieder zerlegen und in die Box verstaut transportieren, wirklich toll gelöst. Der Zusammenbau selbst geht recht schnell und einfach: Standfuß füllen, Gestänge rein- und zusammenstecken, Ball dran und gut ist. Das Spiel macht dann für groß und klein gleichermaßen Laune und kann sogar alleine gespielt werden. Schlägt man den Ball in die eine Richtung, so dreht sich das Seil am Gewinde nach oben, schlägt man in die andere Richtung, so dreht es sich nach unten. Ein Spieler versucht also das Seil durch schlagen des Balles ganz nach oben zu bewegen während der Gegenspieler in die andere Richtung schlagend das Seil nach unten bewegen muss. Gewonnen hat, wer zuerst die avisierte Seite erreicht hat. Wirklich ein riesen Spaß.Die Qualität lässt meiner Meinung nach keine Wünsche offen. Alles passt genau, macht einen robusten und gut durchdachten Eindruck und selbst wildes Gekloppe steckt die Konstruktion gut weg. Meine Tochter sowie ich sind jedenfalls begeistert und haben jetzt schon das Spiel-Highlight dieses Sommers gefunden, ich kann es nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen!

Excellent. Had the version down from this for many years & it was great. This is even better. Can use full length for adults or remove a pole for kids. We take it camping, to the beach or just play in the backyard. Great fun & exercise for adults & kids
