WOW!!!!
First of all...is "King of Games" reviewing the same game as us???? As long as the other player on WiFi has the game, any track can be played and there is no Mission 7. There are 6 levels of missions, the first few of which are quite easy but they get progressively harder, and another thing, the last boss is not even relatively hard! The racing is good, you get 4 extra characters, Dry Bones, Daisy,Waluigi and R.O.B. with bonus karts. You also unlock Mirror class which is 150cc but different, e.g left turns are right turns. and after you ve completed all that you get all 36 karts for each character.I have to say though, that the highlight for me is the battles. You get balloon battles and shine runners. the balloon battle is where you blow into the mic to blow up balloons and try to keep you r balloons, you get 5 but can only have 3 up at the same time. you can steal other players balloons by running into them with mushrooms or just pop their balloons, watch out for your own balloons though!!! Shine runners is whe you get a break from huffing and puffing into the mic and try to get as many shines as possible(shines are objects that look like suns with smiles)by hitting other players with items.Overall, this is a fab game and is another must buy for ds's

The best Mario Kart EVER!
The title of this review says it all... this game takes all the great things you love about the previous Mario Karts and meshes them together in what can only be described as true genius!Despite reading all the positive reviews and it being hyped up as the best Mario Kart ever, I was still shocked at how great this was when I 1st played it... amazing. This has the most in-depth single player mode of any Mario Kart to date - new extras include a mission mode, where you have to do certain tasks which in essence "train" you, and now you have the ability to include "bots" in battle modes and VS modes, just for that lil bit of practice when your mates aint round! ;)The multiplayer, as we've come to expect from Mario Kart, is even better this time around. I still can't believe it, but up to 8 people can play off of one cartridge, the main sacrifice being some limitations in course selection. However, with every one owning a cart, you get, what I believe, is the best handheld multiplayer experience of all time.Throw in a great wifi service for online play (which by the way, is unbelievably easy to set up!), and you have undoubtedly the best Mario Kart ever.

Mario Kart DS a true classic!!!!!!
Now I've been playing Mario Kart since it started way back on the SNES!I have all versions of this Mario Kart over numerous Nintendo Consoles! This game is definitely be the top my favourite Mario Kart games in the series! I have also purchased Mario Kart Wii which is also a brilliant game. The DS version was really the beta for on-line racing on Nintendo console. However compared to the Wii offering of on-line options Mario Kart DS is very limited, however this is to be expected as this was the first on-line DS game! The DS version has excellent controls and memorable tracks (I love Rainbow Road!).My opinion of Mario Kart Game Series1. Mario Kart DS (NDS)2. Super Mario Kart (SNES)3. Mario Kart Wii (Wii)4. Mario Kart 64 (N64)5. Mario Kart Super Circuit (GBA)6. Mario Kart Double Dash (NGC)7. Mario Kart Arcade GP (Arcade)8 Mario Kart Arcade GP 2 (Arcade)Go on buy this game you wont be disappointed!

fun little game
I suppose it dose seem a bit outdated so I wont rate it for how good the graphics are, but it's still fun to play for anyone who's into some silly, unrealistic racing.I would say that probably the best aspect of this product is that it is one of the few games which has a decent multiplayer mode that will let anyone with or without the game play with you in a balloon battle, shine runner, or just a "normal" race.I only got this to play with my friends (since non of them have a 3DS yet to play the new Mario Kart) and it didn't disappoint me.

Excellent game but didn't arrive as described.
I ordered this brand new and received a open and clearly used DS game !!!!!!!!!! I also played top dollar and was offered to send it back but the point is that the game was not brand new as stated!

what fun!
Father Christmas gave this to my 7 year old daughter - there were only two things on her list (the other was jelly beans) and this has been well worth the money - except that we had to buy daddy a DS of his own, so that they could play wirelessly together....They have both had a LOT of fun!!!So much so, that we have had to ration it to wet days, or when she has been especially good - or they'd play forever (or until my husband's eyes go funny, which takes about an hour...)They can't decide whether they like being on the same team, or opposing teams amongst other players (generated by the game: haven't played this with more than 2 DSs linked yet) or just one-on-one... they can have a different scenario most times they play! And I keep humming the tunes to myself around the house...!It has eclipsed every other DS game she has....... the poor nintendogs are getting hungry and thirsty!!

Grandad versus Charlie
I bought this for my 5 year old grandson to play on his Christmas present, a DS (obviously!). I also received the game for Christmas for my DS, so we could play against each other wirelessly. Wireless mode works very well, and is great fun! At the moment we're evenly matched, so I'm getting plenty of practice in solo Grand Prix mode, though I suppose he is too...The last racing game I played was Buggy Boy on my Amiga 500 20 years ago, so my credentials for comparing race games is very limited, but I am finding Mario Kart very addictive. For a gamer with limited expertise like me - OK, rubbish - the game seems to be well designed in that it wasn't too long before I was encouraged by early success which has gradually increased with practice. There are still many challenges ahead though, including one to overcome my fear of heights in order to travel on the Rainbow Road track.
