Bought this as an 11th wedding anniversary present (steel). I thought it would be a novelty present but it's actually proved very useful. You literally just use it like soap and it takes garlic/chilly/curry smells away. Superb!

As a former smoker I know how hard it is to get the smell of a cigarette off of my hands, soap seems to do virtually nothing, after hearing about stainless steel soap I started washing my hands on stainless steel after smoking, usually the sink, especially at work where I am dealing with customers.To my amazement it actually works, extremely well, in the time it takes to wash with soap, stainless steel completely removes the smell of virtually anything from your hands. Leaving a neutral smell. This soap does the same, and looks really sleek and smart sitting by the sink and is a great addition to anyone who often has smelly hands due to cooking, work, lifestyle or anything.Highly recommended.

Tried this both with and without soap for my hands after cutting garlic. It does reduce the smell but I would not say it removes it completely. Other smells like mushrooms and vegetables seem to take the smell away from the hands

I was skeptical- just wash your hands with this and some water? Sure. But really happy I was wrong, I'm amazed! My other half loves cooking with garlic, but he'll still be smelling it on his hands a day later. Using this and the smell is gone. Worth it

Great product for getting onion & garlic smells off your hands. Would of been nice for the dish to have a suction cup on it, it has a habit of fallening into the sink. Other than that, it’s a great essential item to have in your kitchen at home.

I bought this after taking cooking classes and finding a potent smell of onions on my hands. When I used it for the first time the onion smell seemed to stay on for a minute or so leaving me wondering whether it was the soap bar containing the smell or whether it was the lingering smell of the onions!!! However, the smell went after about a minute or so - so yes it does work quite well.

I had one of these years ago then lost it so bought another. It is an effective odour remover similar to the shape of a bar of soap. it is very simple to use just use it with water and wash whatever odour you have on your hands. Great for onion and garlic odours it really does work. What more can I say a simple gadget that does what it says and is very effective.
