"Jam Room" is the second in a series of three Clutch picture disc releases in 2017. This is the fourth full-length album by Clutch, originally released in 1999. More than any of their other missives prior to this, "Jam Room" exemplifies Clutch's vector into uncharted terrain, both musically and lyrically.

One of my favorite Clutch records
One of my favorite Clutch records. I have the original River Road Records cd from 1999, the Megaforce CD from 2004 with the added "The Drifter" and "I Send Pictures" bonus tracks, and an orange vinyl licensed from River Road to Emetic Records (date not printed on vinyl or packaging/inserts and no "The Drifter or "I Send Pictures" bonus tracks). Two things to note:1. As of the release date (10/27/17) this picture disc version was advertised to contain both bonus tracks. It does not. This is the same version of the album that was released in 1999.2. My copy is SEVERELY warped. I own over 250 records and this is the worst I've ever seen. What's odd is thinner records are more susceptible by nature to warping when they come off the press hot and picture discs are always much thicker and heavier (220g+). I will be sending mine back for an exchange but I'm afraid the rest of them--at least the first pressing--will all be the same. It's a 4.5* album by clutch if you grab the Megaforce CD, but 3* for the picture disc for mis-advertisement (not just amazon but other retailers as well) and the quality control.

Great album.
This is an underrated gem. Very jammy, as the name would suggest. Some songs will sound familiar as they are earlier/alternative versions of songs on other albums. Definitely some you will not hear them play live too. Absolutely a worthy addition to their discography.

A great Clutch album
First of all, this was released after "The Elephant Riders" after Clutch left columbia records due to low sales from the record labels lack of promoting the band. So Clutch released this originaly on River Road Records, which may have been their own label. I have yet to get the re-release but I will soon. But anyone who likes later Clutch from Elephant to Blast should like this. It is different and kind of strange at first but it is Clutch at their best just jamming and having fun. I agree with the other reviewers about track 2 being the best. I have been a fan since the first time I saw the video of A shogun Named Marcus on MTVs headbangers ball back in 1993. Bottom line is, yes this is a solid album, yes it is different, but listen to it a couple of times and I'm sure you will like it.

A very fun album
This isn't the best of Clutch, but it clearly wasn't meant to be. It is, however, a sweet record that really feels like one long groove. It's worth getting if you're a fan of the band, but if you're new to Clutch, don't start here. Standout tracks include: One Eye Dollar, Raised By Horses, Basket of Eggs, Release The Kraken, and The Drifter.

We can't all be JP
I love this album and this picture disc edition is a jewel in my record collection. JP is a beast of a drummer and he's on top of his game on this record.

タイトルが示す通りのリラックスしたムードのヘヴィロック。そのリラックスムードの中でも、やっているのはとてもかっこいいロックです。男くさいヘヴィロックが好きな方は試す価値ありです。素晴らしい。
