I think this is my favorite Amazon-purchased product ever. I've toyed with purchasing linen bedding before....and always fell back on a less expensive option. I wish I'd made the leap years ago. I received my king-size linen duvet cover and the sheet set in purple yesterday, with the embroidered edge. Excellent packaging. Quality of the linen was immediately apparent. Slight new textile odor. Immediately washed all in cold/cold delicate cycle, and dryed on low heat. Faint odor gone. Excitedly made the bed and stood back to examine in all it's glory. Looks fantastic. Feedback on the embroidered edging: I'm not particularly OCD about wrinkles, generally. While we all know linen wrinkles, and that's part of it's charm, I mention that I'm not OCD so you have a frame of reference about where I'm coming from. I don't iron anything. Period. If you are the type that irons your jeans, and you like the casual wrinkled look of the linen overall, but are torn between the version with the embroidered edge, or without.....I recommend going without. I personally think it just adds to the charm.How did it feel? Awesome. We are both hot sleepers, which is part of why I finally broke down and tried out linen. It felt so nice and cool climbing in and I didn't wake up hot with my hair damp and sweaty. I rated it as a 4 on softness (as opposed to 5) because...it's linen. It's soft, yes....and will get softer, so I left room for it to achieve a 5.How about sizing of the king? So, we have a king size bed (my second favorite Amazon purchase now). 12-inch mattress on a 13 inch frame. I left the top of the comforter a few inches from the top of the bed and it drapes down over the end of the bed well, but no, it doesn't reach the floor. On the sides, it drapes down to just cover the sides of the mattress, but doesn't cover the gap between bedframe and the floor. If they had an oversized king size available, I would have grabbed it. But it's sufficient, and they now have bedskirts as well (go the homepage of the Simple Opulence store). No purple yet and I'm trying to find out if they will get one in purple, but I think I could use the linen color or even grey if they don't. We are both plus-sized, and we are comfortably under the duvet without fighting for covers....unless the dog settles in a bad position and limits movement/hogs covers.

I ordered this based on all of the positive reviews. I was not disappointed. This is a very lovely duvet cover that is of a very high-quality similar to something you would buy at a higher end retailer. I appreciated the buttons being hidden on the back of the duvet, instead of along the bottom. I ordered the one with the embroidery, which I think is a very nice touch.I read a couple reviews about a smell on the fabric, but I did not have that issue at all.The color was as shown.I would highly recommend this duvet.

I’m so glad I decided to get this light color. It actually stands up pretty well to kids and pets sitting on it. Easy to wash. There are enough ties inside that the duvet doesn’t slip around. Warm enough on cold nights and cool enough on warmer nights. Definitely recommend.

This is such a cute cover with a really nice neutral style that pairs well with fun decorative pillows. It’s not super soft but it is cozy. I am a warm sleeper so not fuzzy is best for me and I’ve been sleeping better with this than thicker/softer options.

These go perfectly with my pottery barn bedding. Would even consider them a dupe for pottery barn bedding

I've been searching for the perfect white linen duvet cover for years. This one is so beautiful. The detail is very high end and after one washing, it is very soft. I love that it has ties on the inside to keep the duvet in place. That said, I wish it had a few more ties instead of just one in each corner. A king sized duvet is pretty big. Adding ties to the sides as well as the center of the top and bottom would be a very nice addition. No big deal as I can add them on my own, and I will.One thing that you MUST know is that this duvet cover is much larger than a standard king-sized duvet. You need an over-sized duvet to work with this duvet cover. I ordered an over-sized duvet that measured 120" x 120" and it fits perfectly and gives the over-stuffed look like you see in the product photos.Even though the size isn't perfect, I would definitely buy this again, and I will for a different bed. Love it!

The duvet cover and shams are very well made and look more expensive than they cost. We purchased dusty blue, which is a great color! I highly recomend!

I have a fairly fluffy comforter but this cover is so massive that I really need to alter it to fit the comforter. It’s beautiful and soft but too large for a standard comforter. I double checked the sizing but it’s still a lot looser/bigger than it should be based on the measurements.

It’s ok as duvet cover but it looks nothing like the picture of what I ordered and has a shine to it. The pillowcases are small. It’s not flax linen if it’s linen at all and for the price, I have a 40 dollar IKEA duvet that is nicer and so are the buttons that close the cover. Pass.
