Entry level Plane
Basic plane for trimming the base of a door that was jamming in door frame. Door was taken off hinges and lower section reduced, not precision work. Simple enough tool for a simple task, price and practicality of instrument matched the task.

Good, But The Original's Better!
I had an original Surform many years ago and decided a new one was just what I needed to complete a job. I bought this model and it did the job I intended it for with ease. I was very happy with the result.What I found irritating was the original model was easily converted from the 'plane' style to a flat file-type. You simply unscrewed the handle, turned it 180 degrees and you had a flat file. Not with this model! If you want a flat file type, you have to buy another Surform specifically made as a flat file! Blatant rip-off!Still, it did the job I needed quickly and easily, so I can't complain too much!

Just the job for new floorboards
Used on new floor boards as there was a little difference in height from old to new. Made a job really easy and did just what was required.
