Yes it will work just fine with perspex, just take fine cuts, hope that helps.

is this hand plane suitable to shave the bottom of a sticky door?

Yes, it has a low angle which makes it suitable for planing across the grain which you will find at the ends of the door bottom. It must be sharpened carefully and is when sharp is preferable to a jack plane or smoothing plane.

The title states that this is a stanley 6. 1/4 but the discription says its a 9. 1/2 could you please clarify which it actually is? Thanks

Definitely 6. 1/4, if you were to closer overall length including thumb wheel for adjusting the blade, it approximately 6. 7/8.I hope this helps. This is an excellent little plane by the way which is serving me well.
