Will & Grace Complete – The Ultimate Collection

This is one of the greatest American comedies of all time. The very first to feature a gay male protagonist, rather than simply using gay characters as side characters, although that was the original idea! Will and Grace are friends that are constantly drawn to living together, they are much like two sides of an individual person, so different but at the same time so alike.For me the best characters in the show are Jack and Karen, originally conceived as side characters but soon having the main plot lines of entire seasons created around them. Granted, the overall quality does dwindle and the final episode is one of the greatest misdirections in comedy history, but it is the early seasons that make this comedy a classic.The box set itself is a collection of all eight seasons, of which each contains four discs and between 22 and 24 episodes. I haven't found the same problem as many with the final disc of the sixth season, I am assuming that this is a problem that has now been rectified.Overall, an excellent example of early noughties comedy thats is a must for any collector of American comedy or somebody looking for a different kind of American humour. I am so glad that this is coming back in 2017.

I have been a fan of Will and Grace for as long as I can remember and I am currently eagerly waiting for the new revamped season!!! The humour is excellent and I have enjoyed rewatching them all again. When I saw this on Amazon deals it was a no brainer. All episodes in a lovely box set great for a catch up. Would recommend and Amazon sell at a very competitive price compared to other stores.

EDIT TO ADD: **Just onto season 2 and now understand what other reviewers meant. The episodes are not in chronological order. It's fine if you aren't too bothered about consistency and want to laugh at singular episodes. However, if you are then you'll get very annoyed by this. I've amended my 5 star review to 4 stars just because of this** ENDFirst thing I did after having read some of the reviews is check the last disc of season 6 (other reviewers had stated that these eps were missing and the disc played season 8 eps instead). However, there was no such error in my boxset, thankfully! Haven't been through all eps yet (it only arrived today) so hopefully there are no issues like this but so far so good. Also, the quality is fine (again, lots of complaints about grainy and low quality). Sure, it's not blu-ray quality but why would it be, its DVD! I'm watching the first season on my 50" TV and it is perfectly watchable so far. I think people are just so used to HD being the norm that anything less is a disappointment. I love this show and am thrilled to finally own this boxset at approx £20 which is an absolute bargain! Re-watching before season 9 begins later this year, never thought I'd be saying that! Excited as to how they'll pick up considering how the original show ended. Now, back to watching one of the best sitcoms there ever was.....

Reading all the negative reviews I was reluctant to buy this set.But it turned out wonderful,picture quality is just great and watching the series seemed like meeting old friends.Yes its true only 4 Seasons have English subtitles,but still I have no difficulty in viewing rest of the series for do remember when it was telecast,it had no subtitles and you still understood and laughed and loved and liked it.Its the best set to have for US version is formatted,last few series were in cinema-scope.US version has these in Full Screen while this UK version has original aspect ratio.About the editing I never saw it in one go saw episodes now and then,so I would not miss them either.Don't hesitate to buy this set for you never know when this would go out of print.

The best thing about box sets is you can dip in when it suits you. We're working our way through this (up to Season 5) and have the latest season recorded off tv to watch when we finish the box set. Hardly a duff episode so far and the season extras are nice round ups of the various elements of the show. So many quality performances.

Been eyeing this up for a while now.Had a look around some of the other options, such as buying it from the USA or Australia, which apparently has some extended episodes and non-syndicated versions. I found this collection to be just perfect, and whatever few minutes of scenes that it did not include were not noticed and did not take away from the laughs.A must-own. Great laughs and very witty.

As a more recent purchaser of this item (the negative reviews are largely from four years ago) I can confirm I didn't encounter any problems. All disks worked fine and contained all the correct episodes. Hopefully this means the DVD manufacturers realised there was a problem with this set and have fixed these issues.I did find some of the menus unusual e.g when you put a disk back in you've already watched it will automatically play the first episode from the disk no matter what episode you were on. All I can say is, this is quickly fixed by becoming familiar with the 'menu' button on your remote which will take you back to the main menu. This wasn't a huge issue for me at all. A rather phenomenal price to own the entire series!

I was in the middle of watching season 4 on amazon prime, when it was very suddenly removed. Initially, I didn't want to pay for all seasons, but when the price dropped significantly I went ahead and treated myself to the complete box set and I'm so glad I did! It's a warm, funny and joyful series; lovely to be able to watch it all the way through now and it will definitely be rewatched many times.
