can it be use with an acoustic guitar?

Hi, the Katana Mini can be used with a electro acoustic or a acoustic guitar with a external pickup connected. We would recommend using one the larger BOSS Katana amps such as Katana 50 or one of the amps for the BOSS Acoustic Singer range for using an acoustic guitar.

Will this work ok with an electric drum kit?

I doubt it. The kick drum will distort.

Can you use it for busking?

In theory, yes, as you can run it on 6xAA batteries. However, you are limited to only a single input so it's not going to work if you want to amplify guitar and use a mic for vocals. I play fingerstyle Jazz so it's not a problem. The output is decent and you can easily get it loud enough to upset the neighbours but I'm running mine with the Gain on 40% and volume on 50% so I have my doubts that it would be a good outdoor or long-term solution. I bought this to replace a dead Roland Mobile Cube (which works for small/ intimate chamber gigs) and it makes a great practice amp but for anything live I think you'll run into its limitations fairly quickly.

is there a suitable carry case bag to go with this?

Boss do a carry case for their katana 100 head which is a similar size. I know of at least 1 company making flight cases for the katana air specifically. Its worth checking the product lines from companies like Gator as someone will have a product that fits the bill.
