Most effective moisturiser I have ever used
For me, this cream is in s league of its own. I have been using it on my face for about three months and it continues to be effective in dramatically reducing dryness, making skin soft and more resilient against irritants, reducing redness and almost eliminating itch.I am a 58 year old female and have had severe facial eczema for most of my life. I use prescribed, thick moisturisers, steroid and pro steroid creams and ointments nd have tried ecpensive cosmetic creams My face gets very deeply dehydrated to the extent that it can't seem to hold moisture in at all, and a moisturiser just won't penetrate and has to be applied almost continuously, to little effect. This cream seems to be able to go deeper into my skin, which stays smooth and softened. A friend commented that the etched lines caused by steroid damage looked less deep. The cream does feel a bit itchy when first applied but this wears off after a few minutes. I find it works best if applied on top of a thinner cosmetic moisturiser I have ( this other moisturiser is too thin on its own).I confess I have had to apply some steroid cream for a few days to clear some resistant redness and dryness, but having done that, the overall improvement has been maintained. This is now a cream I can't be without!

So pleased to have found this cream.
Have had eczema for 66 years and this is the first non steroid cream to make a positive difference. I no longer need to use steroid cream, my eczema has cleared up. I am more than delighted, I use a little in the morning and a little at night, so the tube lasts for quite a while. It is expensive but is worth it to me and hopefully at some point it will be able to be prescribed to keep eczema at bay. It seems to make my skin thicker and keep the small blisters on the palms of the hands from surfacing. I can now go out without feeling self conscious about the state of my hands. It may not work for everyone but it is definitely worth a try. I am so pleased to have found this.

Expensive and not a cure for echezma but very definitely helps.
Suffered from eczema on hands for 25 years. After using Dermalex it is now better than it's ever been, almost completely cleared. Achieved this with a week using a strong steroid cream from doctor - ClobalDerm (Clobetasol Propionate 0.05% w/w). Avoided any liquid soaps and shampoos that contain sodium laureth sulphate. Also avoid household cleaning products and anything that will remove natural oils from skin (e.g. white spirit, antiseptic wipes). Used Aveeno as the main emoliant. Dermalex appears to help the the skin recover. Using an emollient alone does not seem to achieve this. It also soaks into the skin quickly. Omega Pharma are to be commended for their pricing - Dermalex costs £25 in Boots.

A miracle!
I had itching and flaking skin on my face a few months ago and it went from bad to worse. The itching was unbearable and later on the flaking skin was terrible. I also had flaking skin on my eyelids. I thought I was allergic to this that and the other Cosmetic items I had been using on my face although I had used nothing new. I bought all sorts of cream hydrocortizone, itch creams, emollients, then saw the doctor who prescribed an anti fungal cream. Nothing worked. By this time I had changed my cleanser, foundation, etc etc. Then one day I thought maybe it is eczema . Went on to Amazon. Found this cream and thought I would give it a try. By this time I had spent about £200 on different creams, cleansers, eye make etc. Lo and behold only after 5 days of applying this cream my skin cleared completely. I sometimes applied the cream 3 times a day and when my eyelids were very very itchy I applied the cream several times in the evening as I had my eye makeup off. Well it worked. No more itching. No more flaking skin. I certainly recommend this to anyone who has this problem I’ve had. Try it. Susan

Do not buy if over £5
Don't make my mistake, I brought this for £2 then put it on a rolling subscription. This month I paid £14! My own silly mistake. Good product, not worth the extortionate cost hike.

Horrible eczema on the hands....
If you suffer from Eczema, you've tried everything and still at your wits end then I'd say give this product a shot.First of all to note, I work in pharmacy as a profession. Every un-medicated product that I see always gains an unhealthy amount of skepticism from me which in turn leads me to hardly ever recommend such products to my customers. However, I will happily recommend this product because I suffer terribly from eczema, especially in the winter months and I struggle to keep my hands especially clear from eczema where it's most definitely at its worst... However this product keeps my hands fairly clear during those horrible winter months which is horrible for people with dry skin, let alone those who have a skin condition such as eczema, psoriasis and rosacea. Sometimes I also get seborrheic dermatitis on my face as well, in which case I use Dermalex(which you can use on the face, it contains NO steroids) combined with an antifungal to keep it at bay.Do what I did, buy a small tube at first and then if it works buy the larger version as you'll save money that way. If it doesn't work, then make sure you get referred to the dermatologist who will be able to help you. Do NOT let your GP fob you off. The only downside to Dermalex is the cost, and the fact that it is NOT available on prescription. Even so, it works for me so I'm more than happy to pay for it.

Relief from irritation
A good product I have used for several years. Grateful to be able to purchase via Amazon as the product availability in my area of Yorkshire is very limited. Non steroid product so vey safe to use for easing itching and is absorbed quickly with no restrictions on the number of applications one can apply. Good service received

Really works, only cream I have used that clears up eczema patches completely
I have had patches of eczema for years, steroid creams have only managed them but never completely cleared them up. I was sceptical initially with Dermalex as I have tried many many creams and none have been very effective. But I tried Dermalex and when I first applied it I could not feel much of a change but I persevered with applying it regularly and a patch on my foot that was incredibly red, scaly, cracked and so itchy cleared up completely for the first time in years and years. It is as though it was never there! My hands/wrists are taking a little longer but this is due to me being busy and running out of cream. I have now purchased more and am concentrating on my hands which within a few days show signs of healing for the first time in over 20 years. Although it is expensive it is worth it, it will take more than one tube but if you persevere you will see the results. I don't usually write reviews but felt I should with this product.
