Brilliant fan, much better performance than I was expecting
This is my first time using a noctua cooler and I'm very impressed.Normally I go the water cooling route but as I was unable to get some of the parts I wanted I went with this as a stop gap as I needed a cooler and I'm so impressed with the cooling on the threadripper and the temps I'm getting using just one fan (I've not bought a second yet but looking at it) it may be a little longer before I rip it out to put it under water. The fan is silent compared to what I've previously used, its inaudible while idle and can only hear during load if I silence my speakers and listen for it.

great cooling and silent but bulky
I had an Enermax liqtech TR4 240mm water cooler which eventually got clogged up and the plate distorted, I bought this as a stand-in until I found another water cooler but I've decided to stick with it. It is absolutely silent, to the point that I was repeatedly checking the fan was running and checking temps for the first few days, it's quieter under full CPU load than the water cooler ever was even when new. Temps are good too.The only issue is the fan is big and tends to foul the tops of the RAM modules so you have to shuffle it up the cooler a bit to get it in and it then it fouls the tower side a bit. I took the window out of my case and flipped it inside out to get a few mm extra clearance which solved the problem but looks a bit rough.

Great cooler
I don't normally write reviews, but I was really impressed with this cooler.I brought it to replace a Corsair H100i V2 which I found noisy and not that cool. For ref. I'm runing this on an overclocked (4Ghz) 1950X with the optional/additional NF-A15 1200 RPM fan.The results were surprising, super quiet (compared to the H100i), and runs cooler. I do a lot of 4K video encoding, and running a 4K HEVC encode, maxing all 16 cores at 100% load for hours at a time and it runs at a constant 60-65 deg C.Great job Noctua, highly recommended - just make sure you've got a large case to accommodate this beast.

Easy to install, fits well and with great performance
Fits perfectly on an ASUS ROMED8-2T with an EPYC 7763, no thermal issues.

Very very good, just one thing to be aware of...
This is a very good product, it runs quiet and a lot better than the water cooled block which I had before that, which leaked and caused me lots of problems including overheating of the CPU but luckily did not damage it.The only one thing to check before you buy is compatibility. It's very large. In my system the Asus Graphics card was no longer able to fit into the Asus motherboard designated Graphics card slot after installation. It had to go into a lower slot with theoretical lower running speeds (x8 instead of x16). Great apart from that.

Best in class
Worth spending the money to go Noctua for your Threadripper.

Works great!
Bit on the high side for price but it works great, my threadripper 1950X isn't overclocked but this beast keeps the cpu temp in check wednesday the 9th of may the temps where at 38C. It is working great!
