Pulling a fresh vinyl out of a sleeve for the first time especially is worth giving the disc a brush, but i use this every time and have never heard a pop on a visibly clean disc.

I have given this product much careful consideration in its use and operation, unfortunately much of the vinyl I have used it on appears to be in my experience 'significantly' worse sounding after application. I have a new copy of Eva Cassidy - Songbird on the turntable at the moment which prior to treatment played clearly, it now crackles and pops all the way through each side and its evident that the problem is due to static charge. Prior to using this particular brush I have always used the velvet pad type cleaners which I have had no problem with, although I thought these particular type of brushes might do a better job so decided to invest in one, Unfortunately in my case it was a very bad decision and I am now going to have to find out how I can restore the disks that I tried this brush on to their former glory (I sincerely hope that is possible). I am not a novice in the use and care of vinyl records and I have a good quality turntable and cartridge to play them with, don't let me put you off purchasing this item that's not my intention you may have a much better experience. Perhaps the seller or manufacturer can let me know what I'm possibly doing wrong!

A well made product, but the carbon bristles are vey soft and you need to be careful not to let the metal body of the brush touch the record.
