The anchors are sturdy and heavy duty. Having the drill adapter tool for screwing them in and out of the ice is very helpful, it’s so much easier than using my old ones that I screw into/out of the ice by hand.Unfortunately I was unable to use them this ice fishing season, but will definitely put them to good use next year.

If you bought this anchor kit with a name brand on it, it would likely cost you 30-40% more. The driver bit woks fine, and will work for the other brand's anchors.There is nothing extraordinary about this set, but it will beat installing anchors by hand any day. The bit has a nice finish, the anchors are sharp and come with protective tip covers.This is a good addition for your hub house, because sometimes the four anchors supplied with most hubs are not enough in really high winds. Also, your bound to lose one/some at some point.

These anchors are nothing more or less than expected. They grab and drill into ice with great holding power. Could use hands as they grab into ice quickly but with drill adaptor no need to hand drill. This set comes with drill adapter at half price for the set.Would recommend for the price if looking for anchors and a drill adaptor

The included spikes are pretty thin compared to what came with my Eskimo and Nordic Legend ice shelters. They might struggle a bit on loose ice compared to more aggressive threaded spike. What I really like is that my eskimo branded spikes seem to fit better than the include spikes. The thicker spikes lock in and are more stable during the drilling process. The only complaint I have is the color being black will be easy to lose on the ice. Bright orange or red would be a smarter color. Simple tool but you'll be glad you have it on a windy day. I converted to a drill powered auger so I always have my drill with me

This package contains four well-made eye bolt style fasteners and a hex drive installation tool. Tips of the screw threads are rounded to avoid cracking the ice on installation. All items are made of mild steel. The intended application is to install the anchors on solid ice. On-line information suggests that the installation tool and a battery drill alone will install these anchors in ice or on firm packed earth. The tool has a 7/16” hex drive which requires the use of the heavy and expensive half inch chuck drill. I solved this problem with a socket wrench on a drill adapter. The installation tool does not grip the anchor tightly and causes it to elongate the hole and fly off unexpectedly. I solved this problem by drilling a pilot hole with a 1/8 by 6 –inch drill, and hand turning the screw six full turns before putting on the power drive adapter. Satisfactory results were obtained with these changes.Recommended for patient outdoorsmen.

I recently purchased a universal ice fishing anchor tool set. I am really pleased with the quality of the ice anchors and the drill adapter that came with it, in which to put the ice anchors into the ice. I am excited to try these ice Eggers to keep my eye shelter from blowing away.

Easy to zip in with or without the adapter. Since I’ve never owned the adapter I’ll probably use it all the time now lol. No issues with corrosion on them and I’ve used them about a dozen times so far. They have held up well.

You need a heavy duty drill to allow for the size of the bit an adaptor would be great.
