The best leca so far!
So much better than the one I just recently purchased! These are larger in size compared to the other but lightweight. Also, it wasn’t dirty/dusty/gritty so it was really easy to prep! Just wished it was sold in larger quantities😔

Better than soil
I e wanted to try these with my propagating, it really works and my plants do great, I can store them in the house without a mess. You can see the roots so you know when your plant is ready to be transferred.I highly recommend this !

Maybe I’m using it wrong
Not sure I was using in the correct manner, I was trying to use it for rooting cuttings. I pre-rinsed before use, but ended up with moldy coleus cuttings with little root growth. Product did work well with sweet potato vine cuttings cut at the same time and in the same manner. Those rooted extremely well and no mold. All plant material had been washed in soapy water and rinsed prior to use. Maybe it’s just the type of plant and its preference both with moisture and light. I used in both the window and under grow lights.Pebbles are light weight and come in a zip top bag. I’ve allowed mine to dry and be stored again. Will try again soon with new cuttings and see what happens. Oh, when pouring out of the bag make note it can have a lot of product dust associated.Maybe it’s a learning curve to find what plants work well w/the product.

Floats
Instructions say you don’t need to soak them, only rinse. I still soaked them for 24 hours and they don’t sink. I’ve gotten 4 bags. Other than that, they look great!

Too big for anything but putting in the bottom of the flowerpots.
I was looking to propagate some plants and maybe use leca to grow my orchid, since I had heard good things. Unfortunately I didn’t pay attention to the size of these(obviously didn’t do my research) and these are too big to fit between the delicate roots of the orchid to provide support. I have used them to put in the bottom of my pots when I am re-potting plants to give good drainage with light weight, seems to be working well so far. Won’t buy again. Or I should say I may buy again in a smaller size pebble.
