Having lost the only key to a sideboard and a locksmith wanting £90 for what would be 3 seconds work, I thought I'd buy this set and unlock it myself. The set is excellent, it arrived very quickly and I even managed to unlock the lock, so I'm very happy having saved myself a lot of money. Hoorah.

Different case from first picture, and different coloured tools. But there all the same basically. Downsides: There are not alot of rakes in this set, now for a beginner I find rakes to be important. If you are a beginniner like I was when I ordered these, Do your research before, look at other sets on the market and not just amazon, Find out what locks you are planning to pick and weather the tools you need and the picks are in this set. Overall the set contains a wide selection of tools, you probley will only use 3-4 of them if that if you are beginner. Anyways, overall the quiallity is good, although the price, I found the same set for £15 on Amazon, That was from actual suppler GOSO.

Although these are not real McCoy Goso tools they did succeed in opening a difficult locked pannier on my motorcycle after I had watched a youtube video or two on how locks work and what you needed to do to learn how to pick locks I got it unlocked on 2nd day so it appears with the right tools and a bit of knowledge you can achieve mist things , I thought I would be drilling out the lock at one point but perseverance paid off lock was released using this lock picking tool set so it's a win win.

Lots of tools for not a lot of money but the quality isn't the best. I purchased these to replace a lost set from southord ( much much better) I received a leather effect wallet with mine not the blue fabric one pictured not that it's a problem as its actually better. Picks themselves are a little thick and badly punched there is a burr where they were pressed and some are slightly bent. The handles would be a welcome addition except they too are poorly finished with moulding flash and little spikes where they were injection moulded which makes some of them a little uncomfortable in use.

Locksmith no thanks I picked it myself never tried it before took a bit of time but just persevered with it and it was reasonably easy once you know how to do it and now how do you find how to get a key cut for the padlock ?????

This was well worth the money for a starter set. Sure, it won't unlock everything but its very comprehensive. Good for practicing different techniques. I even had a comment off a proffessional locksmith, that it was a bargain. Always handy to have if you get bored playing with it, just in case. Buy it & if you don't use it, it will give you piece of mind. However, if ypu like a challenge or play locksport,,,
