Good quality item, does what it needs to well.
I needed two of these so I could route AV cables in the wall cavity behind my wall mounted TV. After tracing around the rear of the boxes, I was able to cut out the plasterboard with a Stanley knife, the box was then pushed into the hole and was a nice snug fit. After pulling the tabs forward to clamp it against the plasterboard (which were red not blue by the way) I was able to screw the wall plate in to place, the screws tightened up all the way and gave a nice tight fit.If you are using the back to take a power socket you can feed the mains cable through one of the slots located at the top or bottom of the box. As I was feeding several AV cables I used my Stanley knife to cut out the circular hole at the back. The hole was big enough to feed 3 HDMI cables, TV power cable and an Ethernet cable.Overall this is a good quality item and they did the job perfectly.

Great for moving a light switch in a plasterboard wall
Great for moving a light switch in a plasterboard wall. The lining is just visible if you look hard when the switch is fitted, but not obtrusive.

Perfect
These back boxes are perfect and I wouldn't buy another type after using something like this. Just mark around the back of the box, remove the pre-cut plastic from where you wish the cable to come through, cut through the plasterboard, put the cable through the back of the plastic, push the back box in and then slide the plastic on each side outwards to clip in behind the plasterboard. Worked well.

perfect for the job.
Well constructed, easy to fit pattress. ideal for adding a new light switch to a stud wall. I was able to cut it into the existing plaster work for a perfect finish. This is a quality box, very impressed.

Ok, but not as pictured.
Ordered this one with blue "wings" as it works well for me, I prefer it over some other designs. Fair enough I received a dry lining box and it works, but not the one shown. I got the one I don't like, branded Appleby with yellow wings. Saw another user review which had yet another "wing" design (in red this time). Colour is irrelevant of course, it's just to say that designs vary.
