Will they spring back to original shape after bending or will they stay bent?

I'm not kidding, These are great! I've had them for ages and they are as good as new. I have bent them into all kinds of shapes and with there wire core You can bend it back into shape again nearly perfect after all it is just a bit of twisted wire with bristles twisted into it. For the price who cares just buy it.

Can you use them to clean drill dust?

I think you can use to clean drill dust. Good range of sizes. However the handles are fairly thin and would not be suitable for vigorous cleaning.

Are the bristles firm or soft?

Firm enough remove debris and soft enough so not to scratch

Are the nylon bristles quite soft? I want something hard wearing to clean limescale buildup off hard-to-get-to areas of a pet water fountain.

I think they might be a bit soft. They’re great for cleaning straws of kids juice bottles. They also have a little nobble on the end, which does give more strength, but doesn’t allow the bristles to reach the end of closed off area of the straw. Applicable in bottles that don’t come apart!
