Effective and easy to install extractor, with some electrical knowledge
Looks week built and fit for purpose, although plastic clamps and casing doesn’t seem very strong if miss handled. Easy to install, especially if just fitting to replace existing old extractor. If first fixing may need electrician, if your knowledge isn’t great. Not the quietest as it has good extraction power but also not too noisy, I.E you know it’s on but not too distracting or heard around the house. I guess it depends on where’s its fitted, mines in the loft and used dense foam to reduce vibrations you naturally get with fans.Very impressed with the ability to remove the fan from the housing for cleaning without needing to disconnect the ducting.Only been fitted a few weeks so can not talk of longevity of the product but so far no complaints at all.P.s. no idea what sheerness is to rate it? It’s not a town or swerving anything!?? ;p

Excellent quality ventilator fan
I required a replacement fan for a bathroom ventilation installation in my attic. The old fan had burnt out after many years service, but rest of the installation was fine. The Airflow Aventa AV100T Timer Fan cost no more than a complete kit which I didn't need. This fan is a quality item in terms of design, build, ease of installation and operation. The fan module is held in a separate removable cradle, which makes mounting it very easy. Having screwed the mounting in place and attached the ducts, I wired the fan module in a convenient position, and then slotted the fan into the cradle and secured it with the 2 snap on retainers. In operation the fan is quiet and powerful, the 'run on' timer can be set for nominally 2 to 30 mins. (Make sure you adjust it to 2 mins for testing, mine arrived set to 30mins (which I didn't realise until the run-on ran on, and on, and on...) after 10 mins I switched off, reset to minimum run-on and tested again; 1 min 55secs. I initially wired mine for maximum speed, intending to adjust if it was too noisy, but from the bathroom directly below the fan in the attic, the fan is barely audible, whilst the airflow through the vent is excellent. Definitely recommended.

Good product, smooth install.
Well made fan and easy to install as long as you have good basic knowledge of house electrics. The only gripe is that the instructions state that the fan will default to running for 15 minutes after the lights power off but mine timed-out after just under 2 mins. So either my fan was set up incorrectly at factory or the instructions are wrong.Thankfully (for me anyway) the instructions were written fairly well (could be better though) and the wiring and timer set procedure (simply turn a potentiometer) went smoothly. The fan is quiet for the amount of air it extracts, even set at fastest speed. All in all a good product and I hope I won’t have to claim during its 2 year warranty. One star removed for the miss-configured fan and slightly vague instructions, but apart from this I’d recommend.

Good airflow, easy to install, quiet
Great design - wiring box good and fan portion detaches from mounting bracket which retains ports at each end, so you can fit it to ducting and mount it without fan in the way. This is a great design (if you've ever tried to fit one without this!). Needs a 3-pole isolator for legal installation (for service access) because it has live, switched live (timer input from light circuit) and neutral. No earth connection needed. In operation fan is high flow (on full setting) and quite quiet. Timer defaults to 15mins which is perfect. Much better idea to put one of these in ducting above room than to have an in-wall tiny noisy low-flow fan.

Let down by cowl
Overall a decent product which is let down by a very cheap feeling and sounding cowl (outlet) which clatters in even the slightest wind. The light and fan work well and are easy to fit. But for the cowl review would have been 4/5

Bought this fan to replace similar model which lasted 7 years of daily use before croaking
It's always a lot less work to replace a failed item with the same model. The wiring is easier. Amazing to see how prices adjust over the years with the the aid of our central bank. Noticeably cheaper back in 2017.I wire it for 21W (minimum setting) and adjust to 10 minute timer. Very quiet operation, empties the room of all steam & other undesirable moisture.

Great unit
I bought one of these (exact same model) many years ago. My own fault - I didn't clean it out for a long time, and eventually the motor burned out. This was hardly surprising when you consider how much 'towel fluff' was inside the thing! Anyway, the noise is perfectly acceptable and less intrusive than most cheap 'extractor fans' I've seen, and it's powerful enough on the lower setting. I haven't needed to run it on the higher power so I can't comment on the noise level there. Just take some time to read the wiring and get it right in your head before you are cramped in the loft with it!

It sucks, in the good way!
I got this primarily because it is a low cost timer fan, secondarily because it was low noise.Wiring up is alright, especially if you've trawled the reviews. I think there was a note inside the lid about connections. On the bench, this was not that quiet even in low speed. I added an anti-backdraft fitting on the outlet and that quietened it down. There was a fair amount of rumble from it, separate to the rush of air.I installed it in the loft hung on wires so that it was suspended in the insulation. Outside the bathroom the fan is barely audible, even in the quiet of the night. In the bathroom it is a bit noisy, but I can't tell if that is just the noise of air rushing through my vent or not. The noise is fine and I'm very happy with the flow rate, the mirror gets noticeably less steamed up but the door isn't being sucked into the room.
