Amazing product will save me hundreds in heating costs!! Try this!!
Great deal on this insulation kit. We live in a VERY cold part of the country and I did not even know these DIY insulation kits existed! Tried it out with one bedroom window that allows a lot of winter cold through and voila!! The instructions were perfectly clear and easy to understand and the product easy to install. Just cut to size of window, stick plastic to adhesive and use a hairdryer to make the plastic snug, similar to shrink wrapping (the LOW heat setting slowly shrinks the plastic to fit your window snug and keep the cold from coming through. This is ingenious!! The package is ample and provides enough plastic cover and adhesive for several windows. Duck is a trusted brand and this product is no different than their other stellar tape products. Having absolutely no experience or idea what I was doing, I successfully shrink-wrapped-winterized my window in twenty minutes or less. I will never be without this product to insulate my home for the winter. In one cold night it kept my kiddo’s room at least ten degrees warmer with only one of two windows successfully insulated and no form of heat. Frankly I am amazed!! If you’re not handy, don’t worry. You can do this and with the frigid cold coming, You need this!! This pack was less than twenty bucks and will no doubt make the difference of hundreds of dollars in winter utility/heating bills!

Great for keeping warm air in and cold air out!
We have been using this brand for the past 7-8 years. Easy to set up and you can feel the difference instantly. Came in handy for our NYC apartment windows and for the new house. Current windows are from 1989 and an upgrade is not currently in the budget. We will be using this for years to come. Once the film is installed and you go over it with a hairdryer, so that it shrinks and fits just right, you cannot see it from the outside at all. Very easy to setup, especially since they changed the packaging slightly and now all you have to do is roll out the film. It used to come folded and you would have to really work the heat from the dryer to smooth them out, but now it's even easier! Really helps to keep the warm air in and the cold air out. We no longer have ice buildup on the inside of the windows, when these are installed.

Will save you money!
The adhesive did not hold up the best on my already moist windows. However, I was able to hang these up with thumbtacks and they saved me 17% on my electric bill this winter. Such a great investment!

Easy enough to install; feels robust.
It feels warmer, we shall see if the gas bill is any better. Installation is easy. It takes some time and it tedious but the instructions are adequate. My windows are the max size this can do which is 62" so zero waste on most of my windows. We have exactly 10 36" windows and there was enough left for a smaller 2 foot window in the bathroom. Since it comes in two rolls, the extra 2' is kind of wasted since you could have 4 feet left over if it was all on one roll but I understand since if it was all on one roll, it would be hard to handle the first couple windows. Steps I would follow. 1. Make sure you have a good hair dry and maybe an extension cord because more hair dryers have shorter cords and you won't likely have an outlet close by for every window. Also, you want a pair of good scissors. 2. Get some rubbing alcohol and a micro fiber cloth and rub down the surface you plan to tape to. This will clean the surface and prep it for the tape. Make sure you don't have staples, or even an old leftover tape from early years using this stuff. 3. Lay down the double sided tape all the way around. 4. Remove the top tape strip first and then stick the top of the roll and roll it out over the tape and then cut it where the window ends. Leave yourself at least 1/4 inch on each side in case you didn't roll it off square to the window frame. If you did, make sure you correct it upon your first stick going down the sides. 5. remove one of the sides at a time and run the plastic down and stick it to one side nice and square. 6. Remove the bottom and the other side and fold the plastic up at and angle and out of the way and start pulling it taunt to the other side and sticking it as you go down. 7. When you get close to the bottom, if you have not removed the bottom strip, do so now and then pull the corners taunt and stick it. Then starting from the center, press the plastic out and to the corners. Press firmly and slide you hand around the edges making sure to stick it good, everywhere. 8. Then simply turn your hair dryer on start at the stop and slowly move in rows back and forth and watch the plastic tighten and stretch. If you did it right, you should see little to no wrinkles or marks. This stuff seems to stay on good so even if you didn't do it perfect, as long as its mostly sealed then you shouldn't worry about the aesthetics. It definitely seems of higher quality than the stuff I grew up watching my mother use but my cat already scratched a hole in it. I just repaired it with packing tape. If it makes a big difference, I'll upgrade to a 5 star.

Best Cheap Fix for Freezing Winters
This thing was honestly a lifesaver during the extremely cold winter months. Anyone who’s lived in an older Brooklyn building knows those windows are basically decorative at this point 😅 The draft coming through them felt like I had accidentally left the window open all day. After installing this kit, the difference was noticeable almost immediately. The room stayed warmer, the cold air was reduced a lot, and it even helped make the apartment feel more comfortable overall. The plastic stays pretty clear too, so it doesn’t make the windows look terrible once it’s tightened with a hair dryer. Installation took a little patience, but it was definitely worth it. For the price, this is one of the best little winter purchases I’ve made.

This will help!
I found this window kit very helpful during this cold winter. Most of my storm windows are old and using this kit enabled me to seal these windows and reduce heat loss. The tape is very effective and easy to apply and I also found the plastic sheeting easy to handle. The plastic is very clear and allows good outside visibility. I have even used an old window seal kit and found both the tape and the plastic sheeting entirely unaltered after 3 years. I heartily recommend this inexpensive way to both keep more heat in your house and also eliminate drafts from old windows.

The tape doesn't always stick well. One person can do the install.
The double-sided tape included sometimes sticks to the wall or window frame, and other times it does not. I suspect this is because of incompatibility with some types of paint. I ended up using clear box packing tape to secure the edges of the plastic to the wall or window frames. This is behind the drapes, so out of sight. The shrinking works fine and make the plastic almost perfectly clear to look through. There is a film that is sometimes visible. I'm not sure if this is from packing powder used to make sure the plastic doesn't stick to itself or what, but it is sometimes visible based on the angle of the sunlight coming through the window. The box states, enough to cover up to 5 windows. This is true, but to do 5 windows, they will need to be fairly small. The funny part is that they are clear enough where flies and other insects run into the plastic as they fly towards the window light. The plastic is stretched tight, so they bounce off it and a drum sound is heard. I have two windows opposite one of my rooms, and the flies will go back and forth between them, making the drum sound each time they hit the plastic. This isn't a problem, the fly swatter comes out, and they are swatted. I put this here so if you decide to purchase and install this kit, you won't think you're going nuts when you hear this strange drum sound from time to time. My home is an old modified mobile home into a permeant residential house. Being so old, it has single pane glass. I'm hoping this kit will help reduce the winter heating costs. We have a few low 40 days/nights so far this year, and the kit seemed to work pretty well. The lowest the house has gotten to was 69 degrees on a 42 degree night. Other than the back door (large window in it) and a 3x4 window in the mudd room, all windows in the house have the kit installed. It took two kits to do 3 bedroom windows, 2 mud room windows, 1 dining room windows, and 1 living room window. I only gave a 4 star because of the tape issue. The plastic itself is easy to use, and shrink.

Film roll makes it SO much easier to install!
I used this product a few years ago and the film came as a folded sheet. It was extremely difficult for a single person to handle and install. The new method of the film on a role makes it super easy to install. I used a heat gun on low setting and have never had any issue with the tape not holding. The product keeps ice of our windows in up to -40 deg C weather on rather crappy old windows (aluminum sliders) and is easy to remove in the spring. Thanks for providing a good product at a good price!

Read the advice in the reviews!
The plastic has been on my windows for a week now and I have had no problems. I was able to install over two small windows on my own, but every step was a pain and took patience. Make sure to do the steps in the order the instructions say or it can be extra annoying to have plastic sticking where you don’t want it and having to start over when the tape moves around. Doing this with two people would also make it much easier to line everything up. I really appreciate the advice I read in the reviews that said to heat up the tape if it’s not sticking. That really did the trick as it seemed like it was not going to adhere to the window frame at all in the beginning. I used a hair dryer on the tape and to shrink the plastic. It takes a bit of time for it to work, but it did shrink and hangs tightly so it’s invisible against the window. Don’t worry if it’s really loose and wrinkly to start, there’s a large margin of error allowed and it will smooth out when you heat it up. It also came in a box with no brand label on it, but it has plenty of materials that will go a long way. It does what it’s meant to do, I no longer feel a draft and my birds and I are warmer at night, which is much appreciated.

It works
My sash windows in the bathroom are single glazed, and in cold temperatures there is non-stop condensation on the glass, which drips and rots the paintwork over time. This plastic film stopped it, by introducing an insulating layer of air between the glass and the film, so the film is not as cold and doesn't attract condensation so much that it drips. In addition, it helped to lessen wind drafts in the leaky windows, so the bathroom stays a bit warmer too. The film quality is good in that it is thick enough not to tear easily. It is also very clear so it doesn't blur the window glass. Will be happy to buy this and put it up every winter.
