This product does its job and reads SD cards. It is wider than a typical USB memory stick and does not fit if an immediately adjacent USB slot is in use. Add to this the fact that an SDHC card will stick out from one side of this reader and the result is that the card reader will not fit if any USB device is already using any immediately adjacent socket. This applies to any row of USB sockets whether on the edge of a laptop or in a multi-socket port such as you might have plugged into a Microsoft Surface. This feature has become instantly annoying and was not something which had occurred to me prior to buying this card reader. I have seen SD card readers which connect via a short cable to a standard USB plug and I can see that this would avoid the problems I am describing. Thus, the card reader is fine providing there is nothing connected to any adjacent USB socket. If there is something plugged in you will have to disconnect whichever USB connectors are in the way. Obviously this all hinges on the context of individual scenarios and might not be a problem at all in some cases. All in all, the card reader seems to be working fine and transfer rates are also fine. I am deducting 1 star because of the issues I have encountered which I suspect might not be untypical.

It's small and does the job. You can put an SD card into one slot and a Micro SD card into another and both of them will work at the same time. I find the tool rather flimsy though, especially on the USB C side. The reader will wobble and often lose connection when I connect using USB C, but the regular USB connector works alright.

Very satisfactory, simply to use. However, I wish Amazon would indicate on bank statements - the names of the items purchased from it - it would help my accounting!

Works great, doesn't get hot, reads quickly and connects pretty well. Only wish instead of an android it had usb-c.

Worked perfectly for getting my dads photos and pictures off his SD card for his camera and onto my laptop it was simple and easy to use small and compact and did exactly what I needed it also has a micro SD slot for little cards too

Ganz ehrlich, das ist so ein Ding, das man einfach hat und das funktioniert. Ich hab den Vanja Kartenleser jetzt eine Weile und muss sagen: Er macht genau, was er soll. Kein Schnickschnack, keine unnötige Installation, einfach einstecken und loslegen. Ich nutze ihn für meine SD- und Micro-SD-Karten, hauptsächlich um Fotos von der Kamera aufs Handy oder den Laptop zu ziehen. Das geht unkompliziert und schnell. Die beiden Anschlüsse – normaler USB und Micro-USB – sind praktisch, da kann man ihn vielseitig einsetzen, egal ob am PC oder direkt am Android-Smartphone. Die Größe ist auch gut, er ist klein genug, dass er in jede Tasche passt. Und er wirkt robust genug, dass man keine Angst haben muss, dass er gleich kaputtgeht. Wenn du also einen simplen Kartenleser suchst, der zuverlässig ist und einfach seine Arbeit macht, bist du hier richtig. Keine Überraschungen, einfach nur funktionell.
