The media could not be loaded. It was a recent roast date shown on the bag, so that’s a good start. I would say the coffee is slightly darker roast than many, but only a bit. It grinds well in the KINGrinder K2. The extraction is good and the crema is superb. It’s a lovely espresso, leading to a coffee as good as the high street chains. Personally I think these are as good as some artisan speciality ones I’ve tried recently. Good taste, good aroma, fresh out of the bag and good value for money. If you’ve not tried it yet, give it a go.

This coffee is worth the money . There is a good date on the coffee which is good . The beans are quite dark roasted and smell awesome. The coffee tastes smooth creamy and no bitter aftertaste. It’s delicious I have tried quite a few coffee beans but none match up to this I am going to stick with this in future. It’s absolutely perfect..

I’m used to medium roast specialty coffee beans. I also enjoy some dark specialty coffees. I thought this beans will be closer in taste to the dark roasted specialty coffees I try, but honestly it’s too bitter with zero acidity, and too strong aroma.But for anyone who enjoys typical Italian coffees, or commercial coffees like Starbucks/Mcdonalds, etc, these Lavazza beans are better, imo.So in terms of taste, they are better than Starbucks & commercial coffees, but absolutely do not compare to specialty coffees, even the darker ones. I would rate it 5 out of 10 compared to specialty coffees, but 9 out of 10 compared to Starbucks & other commercial coffees.Finally, in terms of extraction and crema, I rate it 9.5 out of 10. Very nice and cinematic. The half point reduction is due to the dark crema, latte art requires a bit more hard work.All in all, for the price, I like the purchase, but I’ll mostly use it for guests who enjoy dark coffees, not for myself.

I’ve been looking everywhere for this coffee, having sampled it in a hospital cafeteria (of all places) and thoroughly enjoying it. Up until now I was only finding the higher strength ones which unfortunately I can’t have due to caffeine induced anxiety.Anyway, I was delighted to find this 1kg bag on Amazon. It’s by far the best quality, makes the home smell amazing, you can tell it’s fresh, it’s beautifully smooth. I use it in a bean to cup coffee machine which it works very well in.
