Can the marker be rotated to zero the gauge at any angle?

I haven't noticed this as I use it as a straight forward angle-finder.

Hi, eyesight is failing, can I use this as a normal spirit level to put shelves up as I cannot see a bubble anymore?

I suspect you could. That said its hard to see the red indicator arrow when at exactly at 90 degrees, but is clear when just off. Lettering is very small. Cost more, but i also have a Bosch digital level which is clear to read....and for shelves, just a standard free phone app which is very clear and accurate enough
