SnarkGuitar, Bass and Violin Clip On Tuner

The Snark tuners are the ones to buy. This is the second one I have bought; they are simple and intuitive to use, have a clear display, clip firmly onto your guitar/ukelele/banjo etc and seem to be accurate (I checked against our two professionally tuned pianos), although for some reason they seem to suggest that I sing out of tune. They also seem robust, lasting longer than my children's interest in playing the instruments.

Simple and easy to use, my son has found it east to tune his guitar.

Bought for bass guitar and works well. Other tuner’s didn’t.

This is a great bit of kit, pretty accurate, easy to use, easy to see when on headstock ( I put mine underneath which works well for me. for the price it's very good.

Great little item, very easy to tune using it and it has an auto off function too for when I tune and play without turning it off.Mine came in a very funky blue colour which is OK, prefer black and did not spot that it might be in other colours, at least it is not pink!Works very well on my acoustic and electric guitars and works with other noise in the room so I can still tune up when the rest of the band is warming up.Buy one, they are inexpensive and are spot on.

Very accurate and easy to use

I've had a few of these and find them the most useful instrument tuner I've come across for guitar, mandolin, fiddle, etc. Simple to use, responsive, clear, and precise without being too 'fussy' (i.e the reading is pretty stable, not wavering about with too much detail). Slight reservations . . . a couple of them have partially failed: e.g. on one, the light no longer works. One of them has a slippery finish rather than the easily-grippable matt finish of most of them. On the whole, though, a Good Thing.

Excellent for tuning guitar or violin, as it works so quietly. A real boon for accurately tuning 12 string guitars, particularly when they loose the accurate tuning due to temperature and humidity changes.Also perfect when setting up a guitar's intonation, and fretting accuracy.Maybe not to professional luthier standard, but fine for the rest of us.Only criticism is that it takes a second or so to reset itself between different notes/strings. Frustrating if in a hurry.

Excelente producto, simple, y preciso, yo en lo personal lo utilizo con mi guitarra eléctrica, con un par de pedaleras conectadas, cada pedalera trae su propio afinador, y en la guitarra los parámetros de detalle es de .02, de esta chulada es de .0010

Compré uno de estos sintonizadores para un amigo que toca el ukelele. Tuve que usar el suyo para afinar mi bajo una vez cuando me olvidé el mío. Estaba tan impresionado que compré uno. Es perfecto para tocar en vivo, puedas bajar el volumen del bajo y hacer la afiniacion rapidamente. Es muy preciso. Me conecto directamente a un DAW y mi flujo tocando el bajo no se interrumpe.

I was impressed with this little tuner. It’s the SN-5 which is set up for a standard 440 frequency low E tuning. It clips securely to the head of my guitar and the display pivots to face me so I can easily view the bright screen while tuning the guitar.There is a single button to turn the tuner on. Pick one of the strings and the display shows a meter that is color coded with a green point at the center. There are about a dozen red increments to the left and yellow to the right. It is very responsive and continues measuring the note during sustain. During tuning you can watch the indicator which fills up the dial. When it is centered on the green marker and it’s in tune, the note is clearly displayed in text which tells you if it’s flat or sharp. You can tell at a glance by how many increments are on the dial how in or out of tune you are. Red means it’s tuned low; yellow means it’s high.This tuner makes tuning a guitar very simple, takes the guesswork out of it and allows me to get my guitar in tune very quickly.I know there are a couple of other slightly more expensive models that allow you to set other frequencies and tune a wider variety of instruments. I am still a beginner and am just learning the guitar so this is all I need.What’s more, it has battery saving features. The screen dims after a while and the SN-5 shuts off if you leave it alone for a while. I’m amazed at how well it works and how affordable it is. I also like that you can just leave it on the guitar; it’s small and light weight and doesn’t draw attention to itself but is always there when you need it.I highly recommend it.
