Just as good as a expensive 60% gaming keyboard.
The media could not be loaded. Fantastic bit of kit, l got this as a travel keyboard for my laptop as well as my XPS 12 9250 (Using a USB-C to USB 3.0 hub).Excellent build quality, keys are well lit and well spaced, overall excellent typing experience and gaming experience using this.Key strokes are accurate and very tactile, the satisfying click when using brings a little smile to my face and annoys the living out of my wife :)Lighting mode is very easy to use, the instructions make it quite clear and the levels can be set to off, low, medium and finally high.Easily matches my old Ducky.Well worth the purchase and l can highly recommend.

Good value, with some small issues
I bought two, one for work, one for home, so I don't have to jump between different layouts every day.Contents of the packageEach came with 3 keycap pullers (two plastic, 1 metal), a mouse pad (black with some nonsensical text about fashion), 5 replacement switches and extra orange keycaps for arrow keys, WASD and Escape. The extra switches and keycap pullers were a pleasant surprise. The mousepad seems like padding to make it not rattle around in the box.Build qualityPretty damn good for the price. It's sturdy thanks to the metal backplate. The design is functional and it seems like it would be easy to disassemble if any repairs are required - normal screws are used. There is a hole going along the bottom of the spacebar, with the PCB visible. It looks like they didn't know what spacebar keycap will look like and opted for a design where the support stems can slide along this hole to accommodate any keycap. You should probably cover this so the inevitable keyboard mess (dust, lint, crumbs, etc.) can't get in there. Remove the spacebar (use two pullers), put tape over the hole (it's long and thin), put spacebar back.Switches and typingThe typing experience is - as with most mechanical keyboards - perfectly fine. The blue switches used here are clicky as hell - loud and proud. One difference in the switches compared to Cherry MX is that they are slightly more wobbly -- when you try to rotate the key, it rotates more than Cherry MX.KeycapsThe orange keycaps only go well with the red backlight.Maybe it would be better to include white extra keycaps with the black keyboard and black extra keycaps with the white.RGBThere's no way to simply turn the backlight on/off, you have to cycle between modes until you find the right one. Some things are missing in the manual:FN '-' and FN '+' change colors.FN Left and FN Right change the effect speed.FN PgDn cycles between backlight modes. Not all modes allow regulation of brightness - the modes that are based on changing brightness can't be regulated.Brightness varies between colors (blue and green is definitely a lot brighter than red, there's no compensation for LED brightness). If you move around, you will likely perceive combined colors (yellow, purple, white, cyan) as flashes of the RGB components. Probably the refresh rate at which the LEDs are driven is low... I'd have to check with a high speed camera.I ended up with red (no issue with flashing) and the wave preset. It is not distracting, looks cool and works with the orange keys. All in all, a pretty good deal. I'll probably get two more - one for spare parts and hacking around (I really want to mess with the electronics inside, will be a nice side project), one for the second home computer.I'm also getting o-rings for both keyboards to reduce the sound of bottoming out the keys and replacements for the Windows and FN keys ( Cherry MX Portal Keycap Set 1.25 ).

For old style and new style gamers or office keyboard warriors alike
I’m a gamer from the type writer generation. I like my joysticks with microswitches, my mice with real balls and I love this mechanical keyboard. It’s small enough even to bring with me on travel and extremely responsive. The board lights up and there are a few orange caps included to create your own gaming experience. However it is subtly styled so it doesn’t look out of place in my office either. There is even a mousepad included! There are many mechanical keyboards on the market but for this price you get a solidly build board that doesn’t have unnecessary features and kicks it where it counts. Great buy!

Would highly recommend for gamers! Well worth the money!
Personally I love it, so I decided to leave my first ever product review.Initial thoughts:This products keys are really nice to use. The registration of the keystrokes are also instant, there are no delays. To describe the key style; imagine the clicks of old type-writers. The keys clicks with each keystroke (it does generate noise, so would not recommend for late gaming haha!) but to clarify; the noise is not that loud or noticeable, especially when your headphones are in or headset is on.The keyboard flashes with each keystroke also, if pressing a key in the centre of the keyboard, it will flash green and blue from the centre keys, outwards (in both directions). If you press a key such as TAB it will flash green and blue starting from that key all the way to the right and vise versa if you press enter (return).Con(s):Only drawbacks for me would be the return key is the shape of the backspace key (or left shift key) and not the bigger style. This is a preference thing for me, others may not agree.I did contemplate giving this product 4 stars, because it does not come in regional versions. For an example; other than the qwerty style (as to be expected), none of the keys are visually formatted to a UK-style keyboard. Although you do not have to adjust anything once you plug it in, keys such as 1 (should be ! and it is !) 2 (should be " but it is @) and 3 (should be £ but is #) it makes finding those keys that little bit harder. It seems like a minor thing, but you'll be using the backspace a few times I can guarantee that. To also clarify what I mean about the formatting; for example, visually key 2 shows @, but when pressing it, it returns ". So if you are looking for the @ symbol, good luck.Pro(s):The negative pieces of feedback are significantly outweighted by the positives.-The keys are not vinyl, they do not rub off. They each light up, meaning the key itself has two parts, the key (of course) and the letter window (for the light to shine through).-There is a function 'fn' key over to the far right (next to right alt), which is programmable (but does not come already programmed). You can also lock/turn off the windows key, so no more accidentally leaving the application you were on just to bring up the start menu you didn't want.-There is no number pad on the right, which means it saves a lot of space on your desk. Some people may not like this; but for me, I turn my keyboard 90 degrees clockwise so its nice to not have those keys which I do not need (I have a gaming mouse too which has the numpad on the mouse).-To describe the size (I know the size is in the product description); it is about as long as a 30cm ruler in width and as for height, is about half that ruler. The keys are quite tall too, so it is very comfortable for the wrist and hand.Summary:I would highly recommend to gamers. If the product provider decided to make a regional version for this keyboard, I don't think I will ever need to buy another keyboard again. Although the above review is a personal preference, I really do think highly of this product. Well worth the money!
