It depends on the size of the bottle. This case is 165 mm [high] 125 mm [tall] and 325mm [wide]. So you could have a bottle laying down on its side if it is 30 cm or less. But you also would need something to keep it stable laying down so it is not rolling about. The display box is not made to be opened on an every day basis so this could also be an issue to consider. This is really not the best box to use for a wine bottle, unless it is something very very special that you do not intend to open for a very long time. It is after all for display purposes.

Yes it will be big enough but keep out of sun light or the books will fade
