Is is correct to assume that this model differs from the 741 AO in that the plate underneath the carafe is not heated like the glass one in the 741?

My 741.03/A does not have a heated plate underneath. I don't know what the 741 AO has. My model has a metal carafe.

Where is this coffee maker made?

It is made in the Netherlands. The core heating element made of copper.

Hot water came out in pulsating bursts after using "Full Circle cleaner". Should machine always work this way?
