Calcium Chloride - 2kg (Dihydrate Flakes)

I used the calcium chloride flakes for speeding up the curing process of a concrete plinth that I build in my back garden. I used approx 1.5 bags of flakes for roughly 2.5 cubic meters of concrete and dissolved it in warmer water (not boiling water). Despite the winter conditions, freezing during the night and melting snow during the day, the concrete cured really well and I was able to start finishing the surface after 8 hours. Really happy with the result and the calcium chloride flakes clearly helped.

Results as expected

Placed the caCl in a sock and left it in a glass for a few weeks and could see moisture being trapped. So did its job well.

I bought this to reduce condensation in my room and it worked well. Tried to reorder the same 2 kilo packet but the price doubled. Bag was 8.99 and now nearly £18. Not worth it. There are other sellers for same old price.

I bought this to brew a NEIPA I could have found it cheaper somewhere else but it did the job and delivery was quick

Added some of this to my concrete mix to help drying before rain. Very happy with result, concrete is superb. Of course be sure to add enough cement.. Lol.
