Five year old completely dry in three weeks
I remember reading the other reviews for this product thinking if these experiences are true then I have to give this a try and hope we get the same outcome. Very pleased to say we did.Our five year old has been dry in the day since he was two, but could never make it through the night and has always worn pull ups. He had the added pressure of his younger brother being completely dry by 2.5 years old. He also didn't like it that his best friend found out he wore pull ups and teased him about it. With school and beaver camps coming up we really needed for his sake to get him dry at night. We had tried everything to help him. No drinking after 5pm, lifting him twice a night, once at 11pm and again at 3am, which was very tiring for me having to get up. Most of the time he couldn't remember going even when I made him walk to the toilet. Plus I was expecting him to pee on command. We also tried a week of letting him wet the bed in the hope it would kick start his brain, but after six nights of broken sleep and a lot of washing we gave up. At that point I wondered if there was a device that would react to him peeing and let him/us know. A quick google search and I found the Wet-Stop 3 read the reviews and decided to try it.The first few nights it worked well as we clipped it inside his pull up and it was waking us all up to get him to the toilet. Toward the end of the week it didn't work as well as it didn't go off and he had wee in his pull up. At this point we realised that when the sensor is in the wrong position or moves the pull up absorbs the wee before it hits the sensor. We put pants on him and clipped the sensor to them with the pull up over the top to protect the bedding and stop us having to change the sheets in the middle of the night. It worked really well plus gave him the feeling of being wet. Four more nights and he had his first dry night and got the converted 'gold star' that he was thriving to get. 'Team Wee Wee' as we called ourselves had succeeded. Another wet night, followed by two dry, followed by another wet night and four dry, one last wet night (a minor dribble) and he has been dry ever since. It is amazing how the alarm tells the body that peeing at night is negative and it quickly learns to adapt. He hated being woken up too. The first time he appeared at my bedside at 3am telling me he needed the toilet was amazing. I've never been so pleased to be woken up in the middle of the night. Hearing him do a large wee in the morning after his body has stored it for a few hours was also amazing. He is now fully dry and really happy with himself and we no longer need to purchase pull ups.

Worked like a miracle for my son!
The product arrived promptly and was great value :)We started using this with my 7year old son who has only had one or two dry nights in his life. We have never had a problem with that, but recently he was invited to a sleepover and this prompted him to want to see the school nurse for assistance. He has a small bladder capacity for his age and the nurse had mentioned both alarm and medication, but given the potential non serious common and more serious uncommon side affects, as a family we decided medication is not a choice we want to make at this stage. As part of his treatment, my son drinks about 1200 ml water per day and we kept this up through the whole alarm process.First (and I highly recommend this) I read the comprehensive cd rom that comes along with alarm which was really helpful. Then I showed my son how it worked and explained how it clips in to his underware. (Important as he had assumed it clipped on his skin!). I took my son thorough 10 visualisations, getting him to imagine it going off (and using a cloth to set it off so he knew sound) and then holding his wee mid flow and getting to the toilet. We used it under a pull up, used a night light in his room and the landing and took turns sleeping alongside him for support. It is extremely easy to use and very sensitive which is what you want.We used the chart provided to track progress and also noted when he set alarm off and when he got up up without.!!!!!!*****To my sheer amazement, after 1 week of 3 alarms per night, 1/2 a week of 2 alarms per night and 1/2 a week of 1 alarm per night he now (for 10 nights in a row) has been either sleeping soundly all night DRY or WAKING himself without the alarm and going to the toilet himself!!!!!!!!******:) :) :)He is so pleased with himself and I am so proud of him for taking control for himself at such a young age.I cannot recommend the product highly enough. If this review helps one more parent chose a wet stop alarm and helps their child get dry it will have done its job :)

Takes time but works!
I had been putting off using this alarm for my 8 almost 9 year old as I knew it would be a disruptive process that may not work. Eventually my son was keen to try it as he was fed up of wearing pull ups that did not really work anyway. The first two nights he wore the alarm he did not wet the bed!! I got a bit excited at this point and thought it was a miracle but after that the alarm did start going off!! He wore bed time pants over his pants to start with. The alarm is loud and it took my son a while to get back to sleep after getting up to go to the toilet and change into clean pants. We kept a diary and after a couple of weeks the alarm went off but my son could actually stop himself from wetting the bed and got up to go to the toilet. Then soon after the alarm wasn't going off and he woke to go to the toilet and then a few weeks after that we took the alarm off and he sleeps all night without wetting or getting up!!!So it took a good month but now he is so happy and so am I! Im not sure exactly how its even worked but it has! I tried not to make a big deal of it when he did wear pull ups but at 8 and a half he was upset that he couldn't go for a sleep over and so this was worth a try. The only thing I don't like about the alarm is the that it is supposed to clip on to their t.shirt but that was uncomfortable so he put the alarm under is pillow. I didn't like the fact he had a wire in his bed that he might get tangled up in but it wasn't a problem and he was old enough to wake up if it was uncomfortable. Worth a try!!
