3M LittmannLightweight II S. E. Stethoscope 2452, Caribbean Blue Tube

I have been wanting one of these for years, they are close to being the Rolls Royce of stethoscopes. Thankfully they don't cost as much! The nursing stethoscope is slightly less expensive than some of the doctors Littmann's but what makes this so good for us is the shape of the head. Being egg shaped it fits snugly under BP cuffs compared to the usual round ones. The build quality of the Littmann is also far superior than that of your usual "cheapie" stethoscope you buy from web sites,and available in some funky colours now as well. That aside make sure you get it labelled because it's the sort of kit that can "grow legs" and walk!!If you want to do a proper job (and I do)! (..I work in a specialist Cardiac Hospital) you need a proper piece of kit. Unfortunately the NHS doesn't buy this sort of stuff anymore so we have to buy our own, but with quality like this it lasts for years.Sonically the diaphragm (high / low frequency options) are superb, pick up is exceptional, my audiophile engineer husband was astounded at the pick up & clarity, he sat attentively listening to various aspects of his body, hearing plenty that he'd not experienced before with my old "bog-standard" stethoscope, ...i'm actually glad the pup rummaged around in my work bag & destroyed the old one as this is of infinitely better quality & durableWorth every penny ...& more.

Quick delivery. As a student nurse working on wards that all use manual Blood pressure machines this is an excellent quality stethoscope to hear when the quietest BP's. Worth paying the money for to get an accurate reading every time on the first attempt meaning less discomfort for the patient. The shape of the head is perfect for sliding under the cuff and does not drag on the skin. Lovely colour. Perfect for what I needed it for

Perfect for any budding physiotherapist who is looking for a good brand stethoscope to start your respiratory rotation or placement it is at the lower end of the scale for this brand but for a first timer like me it is very good quality also most of the qualified staff where I was on my placement had the same one and highly recommended it to me as they have used them for years

Bought this stetoscope on advice from my vet when I was told my cat had a "galopping" heart. The reason was that I was going to check him at home when at rest. Well, the stetoscope is great, I can hear my own heart beat very clearly but my cat......well, I have now the great joy to sit and listen to hiim purr like a gigantic motor! I have yet to hear his heart beat but that's not the fault of the stetoscope. I will take it with me to the vet at the next check up and maybe she can teach me how to stop the cat being so happy at home! :o)

I had lost my expensive littmann well the docs pinched it . Little buggers. But this stethoscope is excellent value for money the quality is as you should expect from a littmann . The colour is lovely aswell so everyone can see its mine haha. Well worth the money very pleased is an understament. A must have for any nurse without the need to spend 100pound plus for a full littmann. Perfect for nurses.

Stethoscope is ok for blood pressure but not brilliant. Very poor for listening to chest and heart sounds so I sounds upgraded to the classic 3 which is great!

I work for the ambulance service so the steth is in use every day. Anyone who has worked in the service will know we are like kit magpies, stuff goes missing when you switch vehicles etc, so I did not want to spend a vast amount of money on one.I am made up with the steth, it's just brilliant for a cheapo, littman is synonymous with quality, so much better than the brand we are supplied with - I can actually hear at the side of the road etc. it's made life much easier for me!

I've certainly had better stethoscopes, but for the price this is an awesome deal. My stethoscopes keep growing legs and abandoning me, so I've switched to this model as the replacement cost is much more digestible. I have no problems auscultating with it, and appreciate how light it is on my neck.
