Cute and useful!
Inexpensive, sturdy and worked as expected; it makes short work of baking hand pies. I recommend not overfilling them or making your filling too wet bc it will spill out and push hard to get a good seal. A bit of a pain to clean all the nooks of the more intricate designs, but worth the time saved by not having to cut the designs out by hand.

They make a pretty tart.
I just used these to make a dozen tarts. I have realized that the dough needs to be very cold and slightly rolled after you press out the pieces so they will be big enough to fit the edges of the crimping side.

These worked great!
They are like giant cookie cutters for pies. Use one side to make the bottom crust and the side with the holes to make the decorative upper crust, then set them on the inside of the mold, fill with filling and squeeze shut. This may be basic pie baking instructions, but I put egg wash on the insides before squishing them together and they held together better. The batch I did without the egg was was still good though. My book club loved the fall themed hand pies. And they really are the size of your hand. Cleaning was a pain to get the dough out of the decorative size of the cutter but otherwise I'm excited to use these again.

Disappointed
I thought these would be perfect for some pretty hand pies…NOT! IF they worked like the pic shows that would great. Either crust get stuck and the pies go all over or the dough sticks to the molds! I tried spraying and dusting with little success!

Interesting...
a novice baker at best, i thought these would be really cool. And they are- if you know what you are doing. There was no instructions with them, no recipe, no care facts. No best practices. I did some digging on the web and found info but would have loved to have included in the kit. After my second batch, they worked out great. The product does what it says it will in buying details.

I think they are great
Are they expensively made, no, but they are just like any other plastic cookie cutter. I'm not sure what some of the other buyers are complaining about. They cut fine and they absolutely fit when sealing. I made mini blueberry pies for Thanksgiving using canned pie filling and puff pastry and got rave reviews.

I wanted to love these…
I wanted so much to love these. I’ve been making homemade pop tarts for years and they are a favorite at family gatherings. But, they take a very long time to make. So, I was thrilled to find these molds! I thought they’d make the process simpler and less time consuming. I purchased them a couple of months ago but hadn’t made pop tarts again until just last week. Unfortunately, the process took MUCH longer with these presses than it had before. I didn’t see that coming. While the final products looked fantastic, the process was far too time consuming. The plastic molds are far too thick edged, so they don’t slice cleanly into your dough to cut out the shapes the way that typical cookie cutters do. It just pressed down the dough, but didn’t slice through it. This meant that I had to use a knife to cut around each and every edge, including all of the window panes/openings in the tops of the tarts, then pop the pieces out. It was extremely time-consuming and really annoying, since I had specifically purchased them to make the job easier. I do love the way they looked, so if that is your highest concern these might work for you, but it is definitely not a time saver.
