The original Lloyds TENS machine pads are seriously sticky. These are less so, but they work just fine. Don't you just love OEM kit, undercutting the original manufacturer - toothbrush heads, TENS pads, car parts, toner cartridges, etc. Is buying these items fair, you may ask? Well, original manufacturers plan is to make serious money out of "spares". Should not be greedy in my view. BTW: I have had the 2 Lloyd's TENS machines we own for years. Great product at about £12 each. What is all this nonsense on Amazon with £30 and £40 and £50 TENS? They are rechargeable - so? Lloyds TENS uses 2 batteries every 3 months or so (maybe less). Are the expensive TENS programs better - NO! This is a big con - TENS has not changed since its inception. TENS works, for most people, but "higher-tech" is not worth the money.

I bought my wife a portable, handheld TENS machine from Lloyds Pharmacy about six years ago when she was pregnant with our first child. Since then, it's spent most of its life in a sock drawer, dragged out whenever there's a muscular injury of some sort. A couple of weeks ago, I sprained my ankle in a fell race, and decided to dig out the TENS machine. I'd bought some pads from Amazon a while back, but these had been left uncovered and were now useless. I had been happy with those pads, but they were the same price for four as these pads were for twelve, so I decided to switch. The pack contains six sets of two pads - I'm still on the first and they've been used plenty. The adhesion is still good - the instructions state that it can also be 'reactivated' with a little water. When not in use, the pads can be applied back to their backing, and kept in the resealable bag for freshness. The conductivity and feel of these pads is exactly like any other, so for the price they are a bargain. With twelve pads in total, I'm sure I won't need another pack for years to come.
