I bought this item to replace a glass stand, and knew that (judging by the price) it would be pretty cheaply made. However, I`m pleased to say that it actually looks as nice as I`d hoped it would. I`ll definitely be doing something with the finish though - possibly varnish/beeswax or similar.Look out for the door latches. i spent a good half hour messing about with the hinges as the door kept popping open...then noticed them in my dish of screws. They weren`t included in the assembly instructions. We needed a cheap TV unit as we had just moved house and eventually want to wall mount the TV and this fit the bill. Delivery was very quick (ordered on the 10th, arrived on the 12th) and it was quite easy to put together as everything was labelled and the instructions were straight forward enough (it took us about 1 hour with interruptions). The cabinet looks great, it's very sturdy, a nice size, great storage capacity and can easily fit a Virgin box on the shelf. There is a slight gap between the top of my cupboard door and the top of the day unit, but it isn't noticeable once all put together. The only thing that I think would make it better would be to have shelves inside the cupboards to store DVD's easier, but this is easily rectified so overall I am very happy with the purchase!

This unit does look lovely and smells all new and rustic but it did take a long time to put together.The instructions were not exact and I found myself having to re-do parts. I also found that the holes did not match up so had to re-make new ones in order for the parts to fit together also the doors were a mare to sort out as they just kept bouncing open! I found that if you swap 1 of the left door hinge with 1 of the right from the two separate bags they come in this helps so your using two different hinges on each door which is silly but this seems to have worked and the doors now close and open perfectly.Although it has taken some time to put together, I am pleased with the purchase and the delivery was quick too.

Was a bit wary getting this based on some other reviews, but glad I took the plunge.This is a nice bit of kit that I would expect to be about 50% more expensive if I had seen it in a mates house.Yeah sure, the instructions are a bit basic, but for anyone who has done flat pack before they are pretty much par for the course and it is pretty hard to go wrong once you notice bevel to the fore and flat to the back, until you come to putting the back panels on, no helpful wee guide as to where the pins go, so a bit hit or miss, ehm, literally...Took me about 50 minutes to build, and I can't use power tools, so all hand screwing.I also did have a nice big hole in the center back board, big enough to twist a plug through, so it might be worth putting a note in for the seller to try and ensure you get one, based on an earlier reviewer not having it.Whilst it isn't solid wood (hey, less than £100, what did I expect), I would still happily recommend this to friends and family.

The assembly instructions are the worst ever the diagrams are postage stamp size , magnifying glass is required , apart from being complicated they are also minimalistic - could have been so much better. If you buy this don’t plan to do anything for 24 hours if you want yo assemble it.

I made this unit in an hour and a half. So easy to assemble. Very sturdy and looks lovely in my living room. Only criticism is, some of the holes that are pre done for you to make it easy, didint match, so had to redo my own. Hope the photo does it justice, because it really is a nice unit.

I ordered this unit on Tuesday around 9am, it was delivered at around 8am the very next day. Awesome. On opening the box i found a couple of the boards had been dropped and slightly crush on one corner. I guess the parcel company are responsible for this and I worked out that once built, the damaged parts would be hidden from view so not to worry. It went together quite quickly thought the instructions are slightly confuzzling due to the key for screws and such being a little mixed up. Over all, I'm pleased with the finished product for the money I spent. (they're more expensive elsewhere on Amazon). Mine's been stained to a darker tone, which has made it look rather more expensive.
