Sturdy/attractive
Bought this to exactly match my other garage doors high security hasp and staple, and replace the identical one I had to break into, due to a padlock issue. It was really not easy to break into, and...I had access to the rear of the doors and the bolts etc. Knowing how tough it was, was therefore 1 reason I bought the same design again. It's double hinged to accept corners or any imperfections to a pair of doors meeting (that are not quite flush). The zinc coating should also ensure it's rust free for some years. The old one had little corrosion and that was at least 15 years old.Definitely recommended.Note- I've enhanced the fixing of the hasp. Instead of using the 2 bolts and 2 screws (for one side [provided with the product]) I bought another 2 bolts to replace the screws, so if I ever had a padlock issue again, and as long as I can get inside/behind the doors via the other set of doors, I can then remove the hasp far more easily.

Safe and Secure
I have had a similar lock on my shed for years which does the business and stills looks as good as new. With the wet weather playing havoc with my shed gate the bolt was becoming increasingly difficult to use so I decided to buy one of these to solve the problem. I tried the DIY stores with no luck before I found this one on here. It's the middle hinge that is the crucial factor here as it allows me to lock my recessed gate but also gives a degree of flexibility - useful for an expanding and contracting wooden gate in wet weather believe me.Fitting took a bit longer than anticipated - I would recommend fixing the locking eye first and then you can judge exactly where to fit the hasp more accurately. This involves a bit of trial and error as the fixings become hidden by the main body when in place. Try it with just one screw at first as too little slack makes the hasp tricky to loop over the eye and too much will leave the whole set-up vulnerable. It was only when I finished that I noticed my shed lock has the eye horizontally mounted which is a better design IMO as it is slightly easier to hook the hasp over that way but job's a good'un anyway.

Excellent Angled Hasp
I bought two of theses to add extra security to a recessed door that wouldn't take a traditional "flat" hasp. The basic design of any angle hasp does sadly increase the access points for a jemmy/crow bar, but to be honest, the vast majority of these hasps are mainly a deterrent rather than an out and out preventative- if some ne'er do well really want's to break in, they going to do, but this should deter casual attempts. The counter to this is, does it attract unwanted attention? So, im addition, I bought a £5.00 portable PIR Alarm, that I hope will offer the added degree of security I want.Fitting is pretty straight-forward, although the layout of my door meant drilling directly into brick, quite close to the edge. My first attempt was fine until I tightened up the screw, which cracked the brick. The solution to this is to angle the hole away from the edge and ensure that the screw isn't too big for the plug - I used a slightly bigger plug with the same screw and the remaining holes were fine. The main body of the hasp that fastens to the door comes with pass through bolts as well as screws and I recommend using the bolts if you can - they are much stronger but do require to use a fairly large washer on the inside to spread the load.Peter G

Very heavy duty
Very good, high security product. Probably a bit bigger than I expected but it fitted my garage door ok. Good product

Looks and feels solid
Good material, heavy and sturdy. Wish the 23cm ones were this thick. Installation was simple and straightforward.

Very sturdy but rust appearing
This is a serious looking hasp, it is very easy to fit and is enough to deter the casual thief. My only issue is there are small rust spots appearing on the staple, I thought this was designed for outdoor use, so am monitoring and will update this review If necessary

Ok but has started to rust after less than two years
It’s fine but mine has started to rust after about two years. Zinc plating not good enough for normal uk weather (I’m no where near the sea). I’ll find stainless steel next time. Suppose it was cheap.
