Definitely worth a watch

A true story. An absolutely brilliant film, one I know I'll watch again. Well worth the watch and will keep you engrossed throughout. It's one of those films that once you've seen it, it'll stick in your mind forever. Highly recommended

Based on a true story,follows the heroic story of an American soldier (army medic).who saved 75 soldiers at hacksaw ridge . In my opinion the best war film ever made, full stop.

A captivating war movie, based on the true story of Desmond Doss, who stuck to his pacifist principles whilst serving in the US army in Japan during WWII. The film chronicles the trials that Doss has to face during his training, in his home life and at the front, providing background and a rounded perspective of the man and the varying doubt that surrounds his firm held principles. It provides a portrait of a man who will do what he believes is right but who will not compromise himself in the process. Choosing to go into battle without a means of defending himself, Doss is enrolled as a medic and proves his worth without using violence. But even as a medic, this doesn't exclude him from becoming a target, as the platoon are told that the enemy takes no prisoners, and will willingly target soldiers wearing a Red Cross. When it finally comes to the advance at Hacksaw Ridge, and we see the enemy's tactically superior position, there is a strong feeling of threat, of how harrowingly futile and unpredictable the battlefield is and what horrors these men might have really experienced. The suspense is intense as you have no idea what will happen next and what ways Doss and his comrades will cope on the battlefield and whether they will survive to the next day.

The DVD is a thrilling tale of an ordinary soldier doing special tasks. Bought in April 2018

Absolutely amazing movie. I never fully understood the story (as I've only heard bits and pieces about it) so after watching a friends video of her as Dorothy on TikTok, I decided to finally check it out. And WOW it brought me to tears in my eyes. What an amazing hero a real life person was in his army career all because he didn't wanna compromise his faith towards God by refusing to carry a weapon or cause anyone harm. Absolutely selfless act of bravery. I give Corporal Desmond T. Doss my respect for his bravery. You really need to watch this movie about a true story. You will not regret this. don't hesitate because of a Bible themed element. You gotta understand that when God said love thy neighbour, He actually meant it.

Decir que está edición de Hacksaw Ridge en SteelBook sacada por LionsGate, no trae el idioma Castellano de España. Solo el Blu-ray 4k trae el español latino y el blu-ray sencillo, no. Ni latino ni Castellano. La imagen en los dos discos es fantástica así como el sonido. El diseño del SteelBook es una pasada. Viene con una funda de plástico imprimida con las características de la película. Las fotos de la caja de los dos Blu-ray están muy bien logradas.
