Handy wee tool when you have the knack for it. This wee tool is really handy when you're showing how it works. However, I've found that when actually trying to use it on a large struggling fish, I end up just removing the hooks with my pliers. When I land a fish and take this t-bar out, I never remember the way you put it on the line to slide down to the hook and usually the fish will then start flapping and I'll just grab pliers instead. This tool would be great for removing hooks from some of the bitier species like tope, dogfish etc. Like i said, it's dead easy to use on line with no fish on it - I just need more practice with it I think

Bloody awesome piece of kit. Literally wouldn't be without it on the shingle these days. Buy one, learn how to use it (youtube) and you'll not regret it. Whiting have a frustrating habit of dying if not returned within thirty seconds, but they take the hooks right down into their gut. With this the hook is out and the fish back in no time at all, even on a fully populated three hook rig. Would I recommend it? Highly! Would I buy it again? This is my third.

Once you master the knack of using this handy gadget,you will wonder how you ever managed without one.An ingenious,yet simple to use item.Great to be able to give those deeply hooked fish a chance to fight another day.Every angler should have one.

Item received on time. I have not used it yet, so will reserve judgement, but my initial impression is the connection between the plastic shaft & coiled hook disgorger is a little weak. I will update this review once I have used it in anger

I used to use forceps to unhook fish until i got this disgorger but now i can release the fish without even touching it so perfect for dogfish when you dont want their skin wrapped around your arm Quality tool for fishing that every angler should have Watch you tube video on how to use these first and you will never go back
