Great game
My son bought this and he really enjoys it, my husband also really enjoys this game. It's probably best for those who enjoy racing type games. It has a lot of different types of game modes in it, destruction derby type races etc which makes for varied gameplay and the difficuly level is neither to great for my son or too easy for my husband. Recommended

Great game with the classic destruction derby event, myself and my wife enjoy this game, like the ease of use on the menus and cars selection, does take a bit of time getting used to the steering but once that is done its an enjoyable game to play by all

Unjustified Hate
People hate on this game because it's not realistic, it doesn't fit in with the DiRT series, it's too arcade, and so on. I think this hate is unjustified because it was never intended to be a sequel, just a bit on the side. All in all it's a very fun game to mess around on if you've got nothing to do and some of the game modes are great - destruction derby, figure of 8 track racing, and so on. For the cheap price you can't go wrong but admittedly I would be a little disappointed if I payed £30 or more. Having said that it's a brilliant arcade game and can be such a fun experience if you take it for what it is instead of being desperate for a continuation of DiRT 3.

They've killed DIRT!!!
I bought this game expecting it to be so good from seeing game play and trailers and being a fun of the game, thinking that it would be some what similar to the other DIRT games, however i was wrong!! They have changed so much and killed it for me and so many others!! The handling is horrible and does not drive well. I can understand the arcade part of it but why get rid of all the handling set up page before each race, just like DIRT, DIRT 2, and DIRT 3!! I don't mind the normal races but for those that love gymkhana they have ruined it, there is no skill involved, and you can continue doing donuts without even looking at the screen, with a little bit of help with the throttle completely down. Its completely different from the DIRT 3 gymkhana mode and makes this game so crap for this reason and others!! Why they couldn't keep parts from the DIRT 3 i got no idea, this game would have been so much better if they kept that mode the same as DIRT 3. If you like the other DIRT's i don't think you'll be to impressed with this game!!!!!!! WHAT A LET DOWN!!!!!!!

It's good but glitchy!
This looks to be a good follow on from Dirt 3. Graphics are the same, sounds are just as good and it's got some nice features within. My problem with it though is that if you use a wireless controller (which a vast majority do) you will encounter a glitch where you cannot change gear! I loaded the first race and was stuck in first gear the entire race. I would've been sat until christmas before I finished, got overlapped about 9 times, so I gave up. Having researched this, it seems to be only affecting wireless controllers, and in some cases depending where you save the game data! I haven't tried with a wired controller yet to see if this cures the issue, but when I do I will update. (By the way, for those who say change the control layout, you can change the controls to any buttons you wish, but even if you map every button to every function, there's another glitch that says you haven't mapped every function where you clearly have, so you have to revert back to the default scheme and hey presto, you're back to square one!)

bit simple
Where as i know there are 2 extremes with the reviews on here, im going to be decidedly middle of the road. The game itself is fun, and a concept not unlike destruction derby. The issue i have is a large on all the previous dirt games gave a rally aspect to the driving style that when you became addicted to them you hone to your own style of hadling and driving. Showdown has none of the previous requirement of skill to drive, which is a great shame, Showdown had the potential to be great. Good game, nice concepts....... should have alot more work done on it. Doesnt feel like a "Dirt" game. If you love rally not a game for you. But it you just want to have a game where you can smash your mates up in a car when youve had a few beers its ideal. Let the price drop would be worth a punt at about 15 quid

Gefällt mir ganz gut. Mal was anderes wie das was man von Dirth gewohnt ist. Mit dem Speed Wheel ist es noch besser zu Lenken als mit dem Pad. probierts mal aus.

Un jeu pour ne pas se prendre la tête avec une conduite très arcade centrée sur la destruction de véhicules. Pas mal de types de courses, plusieurs championnats et un mode multi qui donnent une bonne durée de vie. Peut être lassant à la longue en solo mais sinon un bon défouloir.

pur essendo un amante del rally puro, con marce manuali e note del navigatore senza immagini di aiuto, questo capitolo di dirt è stato un piavecole intermezzo. il gioco è interamente in italiano, inizialmente lo trovavo un po' sempliciotto e poco stimolante, non avendo la scelta di un cambio manuale e avendo molti eventi di tipo demoliton derby. successivamente ho apprezzato invece la presenza di eventi di abilità derapate e acrobazie stile Ken Block, e ho compreso che un cambio manuale sarebbe stato molto difficile da usare in questi eventi dove ti concentri moltissimo nelle traiettorie e controllo derapate. è un gioco arcade che è giusto che non sia stato complicato con il manuale o con scelta settaggi, rimane arcade, immediato e divertente.

Ce jeu me rappelle (graphismes en plus évidement ) le jeu destruction derby de mon enfance, d'autre modes plus classiques dispo, mais un bon jeu!
