Excellent
Bought this as it was cheap. Needed to tile my utility room and the cutter i had was too small, needed a 600mm one, seen this for £30 and I am SO glad I got it.Im only a DIYer, (and actually 5 months pregnant) cuts are effortless I wish I had this when I did my first tile project, wow, what a difference. worked amazing and trumps the other cheap one i have. 5x easier to use and cut!!For little jobs, its brilliant. Im no expert but compared to the other one “magnusson” I got last time.. that old one is probably gonna go in the bin. This one is ace glides a dream and I had 1 breakage in the whole room which was my fault for not supporting the tile properly

Excellent tile cutter
Never really leave feedback for items that I’ve purchased but felt compelled to write something for this.I’m a general builder encompassing pretty much all trades and have done a fair bit of tiling before, but never large format tiles. So when the need arose for a large format tile cutter I did a bit of research and came across the Vitrex Pro Tile Cutter 900mm.There’s a lot of good feedback for this item, even from tradesmen that have used ‘Top End’ kit that costs a lot more money.I’ve used a number of tile cutters before 300mm, 600mm and even the same brand as this before, but was amazed how much easier and less effort is required in both scoring and and snapping the tile.Maybe it’s missing a few of the extras or add ons that you might get with the more expensive models but It’s great value for money and does the job well.

Good but not perfect
Great for cutting big tiles. Looks to be very solid and well made. My only gripe is the difficulty of seeing the exact position of the cutting wheel when lining-up a tile prior to cutting. The sliding mechanism that carries the wheel is big and bulky. The manufacturer claims that it's easy to see the wheel...... Not true, in my opinion. I found myself having to peer end-on down the line of the cut in order to see if the wheel was exactly over my cut line. It is possible to see the wheel from the side, but that's not good enough for accurate cuts - you need to view the wheel end-on at both ends of the proposed cut, and this is not particularly easy to do.

Great tool for home tiling projects
I recently picked up the Vitrex 12593 630mm Pro Flat Bed Manual Tile Cutter for some bathroom renovations and it's been a solid addition to my toolkit. First off, setting it up was really straightforward. It didn’t take me a ton of time to get familiar with it, which was a bonus since I was eager to get to work. One of the features I really appreciated was the 630mm cutting length. It made it super easy to handle larger tiles without needing to complicate things. I worked with both ceramic and porcelain tiles and the cutter handled them like a champ. The scoring arm glides smoothly, and I was impressed at how easily I could get clean, straight lines every time. It's all about precision for me and this cutter definitely delivers.During my tiling project, I had to cut some tricky angles for a few corner pieces and the cutter’s adjustable angle settings really saved me some time and frustration. It's nice not having to mess around with power tools for those precise cuts. Also, the build quality feels pretty robust which is reassuring. I’ve had other tile cutters that felt flimsy and made me anxious about breaking them mid-project but this one seems like it can handle some serious wear and tear. The padded feet kept it stable on my work surface which was nice, especially since I was working on uneven flooring.I've used this manual cutter for a couple different projects now and I haven't experienced any major hiccups. Overall, if you’re looking for a reliable tool for home tiling, the Vitrex manual tile cutter has been great for me. It delivers the precision I need without being overly complicated. Definitely glad I added this to my DIY arsenal.

DO NOT BUY - NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE
This tile cutter is not fit for purpose. I bought it to cut 600mm x 600mm, 9.5mm thick glazed porcelain tiles. Unfortunately, it was totally incapable of cutting the tiles from the outset. The unit I received already had visible signs of use as if it had already been returned! But I thought I'd give it a go. Initially the tile scoring blade worked well and produced a good scored line, however, when I then used the lever to hit down on the tile it was totally incapable of breaking the tile (as other have noted in several reviews) the chrome rails simply bent upward as they are not strong / rigid enough. In the end I used my trusty Diamond Wheel Wet Tile Cutter and simply bought some nice metal trims. It may be capable of cutting smaller, weaker, ceramic and terracotta tiles. But if you have high quality porcelain or real stone tiles it's just not up to the job. I've also noted that they have updated the the description to say "For porcelain tiles, recommend using Vitrex Pro Tile Cutter 630mm" which is clearly more robust, and double the price!

Its ok
I will start by saying I am something of a perfectionist and as a trained engineer used to dealing with very fine measurements im quite fussy about detail so I may be being a little harsh here. I already have a power cutter but bought this because wanted this to save time and also because I thought it would cut cleaner than the slight chipping you get on the cut edges with a power cutter. This is the first manual tile cutter I have ever used so I have nothing to compare against - I needed such a large cutter for some 650mm porcelain tiles for our bathroom, the tiles are about 9mm think and very hard and this looked ok for the price and stated it would do thicker tiles. The cutter works reasonably well however the breaks are not always perfect often they are a little wavy near the break point and I have had a couple of tiles break off the corners despite scoring the tile multiple times before breaking. They are neater than the electric cutter and the slight imperfections will never show its just I was hoping for a more consistent result.

Robusta y cumple su función
Cortes perfectos!
