Loctite 7503 Rust Remedy 90ml

I've used this stuff for around 20 years, and while the formala may have changed a bit over the years, the performance doesn't seem to have.You can take quite a few liberties in the use of Rust Remedy, the main rule is to remove any loose rust that may flake off, and avoid getting it on good paintwork. The Rust Remedy reacts when in contact with ferrous material, so make sure you decant your Rust Remedy into another container so you can use it without dipping you possibly contaminated brush into the bottle and setting the whole bottle off.I bought a bottle to treat a badly rusted wheel I had left in the garden, and having rubbed it down with an old stainless steel kitchen scourer, I gave it a couple of coats of Rust Remedy and it smartened it up nicely. After the second coat, I found the wheel was a scruffy pale colour, but that was excess unreacted Rust Remedy, and I found after a couple of days, the wheel was black as expected. I might paint it, but to be honest, it won't need it and it looks fine as it is for my needs.I've got nothing bad to say about this stuff at all, it works well, and literally lasts for years. I'm just glad they still make it.

Got this rust remedy. Only used in two units. Time will tell how good it is however di am so happy with it's use

Used this before and worked well on a rusty car wheel arch. So purchased it again. Easy to apply not thick can run if you put to much on .

Needed some rust prohibitor to sort an issue with my car that was subject to a recall that is now out of date so I couldn't get the work done as I am the second owner and the original owner didn't get the work done. I needed it to stop a known rust issue in the doors. This worked a treat. followed the instructions precisely and the rust is sorted and gone never to return!Highly recommend.

Excellent rust remedy.This will form a protective seal over the treated area so be aware of that. Initially, I had thought it would just remove rust leaving the surface as it was before but this is not the case. It will react with the rust and form that seal.Not exactly what I wanted it to do (trying to treat/remove some rust on motorcycle boot fittings) but excellent for anywhere else you have rust and you want to protect the underlying metal.

I bought this item to help repair a hole which had appeared in my metal shed. the hole had rust around it and was not actually noticable until I decided to give the shed a good clear out and tidy up. The product itself is of a good standard and easy to use. I applied 2 coats and then used a waterproof exterior tape to make sure the weather didn't make the problem worse. So far, so good. It seems to have worked by arresting the progress of the rust. The shed is about 20 years old but it serves me as it is. Hopefully, Loctite Rust Remedy may have given it a few more years.

Well like most insurance groups rust is not covered! Our washing machine/dryer is now getting old and showing its age.Directly under the door I noticed bubbled paint and a quick investigation showed it to be rust. A call to my insurance confirmed that rust is not covered.A metal brush and this product was the way to go. Used metal brush to clear away paint and rust flakes, applied this product and whala! Turned black as advertised when the chemical reaction had completed. A quick gentle clean up sanding and a couple of solvent based white paint & you would have to look closely to notice the repair.Very impressed. Was easy to use and did exactly what it said it would do. Months later still no sign of rust returning.Recommend.
