Ideal for my gym bag
I tend to use different earbuds for different functions, primarily as I hate carrying round too many items and therefore I have a separate set of buds in my bedside cabinet for listening to podcasts at night, another set with my travel documents and this set is going in with my gym kit.Gym kit? yes, they are water resistant and whilst I no longer train as hard as I did, I feel that this function is useful for me; particularly when I undertake cardio workouts. So what are they like? Well you receive the pods, a charging cable and three sets of buds. Priced at £49.99 as at 23rd April 2022, they cost twice as much as my generic buds which I have used for some months now. The sound quality is ok, but not exceptionally good and I would have expected better based upon the manufacturer and the price. What is really good they have over 50% more playback time than my other set and are very comfortable to wear. Combine that with the fact that they can charge in less than two hours from flat, makes this a five star item for me.I have tested the buds on a telephone call and could hear fine although I think that in common with all of these types of devices, it is difficult to improve the microphones past where they currently have advanced to. I haven't used the mono function for calls, but I discovered that when playing music and taking a call, one side accesses the call and the other playing music is muted. One last thing. I do wished these companies would synchronise the syntax which they employ to undertake the variety of functions available rather than me having to try and fail to memorise the various touch functions or revert to my phone.

Good but pricey for what you get - very suitable as gaming buds for the Nintendo Switch
I don't think these will last as long as a classic Nokia 3310 but they are well built, durable and definitely do the job - the problem is they are very basic, and for £50 I'm just used to at least some app and eq support or even ANC.Anyways - here's the lowdown, these are more along the lines of 'micro' buds, being a bit smaller than your typical everyday tws earbuds, they have quite a small profile and fit very well. The fit is simple and quite ergonomic and offers a pretty good seal against ambient noise, with three pairs of tips this should be sufficient for most people.Sound is good - decent clarity and separation and good treble and bass, not overly compensating in any area it's a good solid 'all round' sound signature, and it has to be as there are no eq options either in the buds or via an app so what you hear is what you get. Personally I found it suited most of my music (rock, metal and a bit of Beethoven) and gaming requirements. The only feature these have is a low latency gaming mode - to be fair the latency is quite low and there wasn't that much difference when connected to Nintendo Switch between the two - noticeable but only when really looking for it. They sound really good on the Switch too.USB C charging for the case which is quick and for the compact size and impressive 9 hours in the buds (I found this to be a bit lower at about 7.5 hours when in gaming mode playing on the Switch but listening to music in normal mode a bit more at about 9.5 hours).I wouldn't really recommend these as music earbuds - there's a fixed sound signature that won't suit everyone but as a lightweight, comfortable gaming earbud (certainly on the Switch) they're spot on and in line with lower end pricing for gaming buds.

Solid earbuds from Nokia
Nokia were once dominators of the mobile phone industry. However, the likes of Samsung, Apple, etc caught up and overtook them. These days, you don't hear too much from Nokia, but their name still speaks of ease of use, reliability and good value. With that in mind, I was excited to try these little ear buds. I am by no means an audiophile. All I want from headphones is decent sound quality whilst I'm commuting, ease of use whilst I'm working and solid build quality, so that should I drop the headphones or get a bit of sweat/chalk on them when I'm working out they aren't going to stop working. The short version of this review is that these Nokia earbuds passed these tests and I think they're perfect for someone looking for a decent pair of good sounding, affordable headphones they can rely on. If you want more detailed thoughts though....To begin with the looks of the headphones: they look fine. They aren't as sleek or premium looking as the Apple Airpods, but they also aren't as large or boxy as other budget options. They have a nice matte black colour to them, a gun metal Nokia logo and a rounded off square shape. Sat in the ears, they are fairly discrete and will be fine in a professional environment.Sound quality is very good. These days, even headphones around this £50.00 mark can really perform very well. Listening to dance music, which is quite challenging for some headphones, I found the levels easy to distinguish and everything was very clear. I didn't experience any issues with crackling, distortion or anything like that. Podcasts, YouTube and Netflix were all excellent. These are less challenging, so the headphones really excelled here. The low latency gaming mode is great if you like to play games on the tube and the headphones handle music and effects of games very well - whether retro games like Sonic or more modern games like COD.The headphones seem geared towards a city commuter. As discussed, they have a fairly professional look, but they also have a built in noise cancelling microphone that allows you to speak with colleagues in even busy environments. They just feel like a pair of headphones you could pick up as you head out the door and know they'll handle any situation 'well enough'.For such a small pair of headphones and charging case, the 28 hour battery is impressive. The headphones in the case will easily slip into your trouser/coat pocket or into the side pocket of a laptop bag. The way the battery works is that the buds hold up to 9 hours charge and then once you finish using them you drop them back into the case and the case will charge them back up. Being able to go 9 hours without even taking the headphones out is going to be more than enough for most people and if you have a daily 90 minute total commute then you're only going to have to charge the case once every 2-3 weeks.Overall, whether you're in the office, on the train, in the gym or just at home these headphones should serve you well.
