The follow-up to the English singer-songwriter's critically acclaimed debut '19'. Produced by, amongst others, Rick Rubin and Paul Epworth, the record went platinum after just four days and includes the hit singles 'Rolling in the Deep', 'Someone Like You' and 'Set Fire to the Rain'.

Adele's 21 Album
All good and well Cd looks almost like new and plays really well on cd, arrived very promptly and well packaged and undamaged by Music Magpie as reliable as ever.Adele's 21 album has some of her best music on it. Rolling in the Deep is the one I bought this for but am not disappointed with any of the tracks an the album, all have well written lyrics. which give a very classy sound kind of 50's60ish feel in places with solid vocals from Adele and real good musical production standards mean an excellent listen. Well worth the price.

Beautiful Album
In a world of disposable pop and artists, who are as much the product of a production team as their records, Adele Adkins - and '21' in particular - is a reminder that there is still stunning new and natural talent coming through. Fast becoming a consummate singer songerwriter, Adele already sits comfortablly alongside the likes of Bonnie Rait and Carole King. The development between '19' and '21' points to such a fantastic career ahead of her. This is someone who has studied and learned their craft and, whilst the solo-written songs of '19' were sometimes a little too quirky and patchy, '21' contains a host of fantastic collaborative songs which have plainly opened up Adele's horizons. It may be premature, but for years there really haven't been any serious UK contenders to follow on from the sort of global careers that artists like Elton John have sustained so well. Well as far as I am concerned Adele has got to be the strongest contender to do so in ages. There's no need for huge productions, all this woman needs is a microphone and the desire to share her feelings through her songs. It's a recipe that's captivated millions of people already and if you listen to '21' you will understand why. It's the best of the singer songwriter, troubadour tradition of the 1970s reborn and relevant to not just a new generation, but any generation.

Mature beyond her years
Sometime, something just appears out of the blue and grabs you by the short and curlys, I first heard a track (Rolling in the Deep) on Radio 2, whilst on holiday over the Christmas period, and missed the title by the DJ. The melody stayed with me over the whole of the following week and drove my wife nuts until we got home. I googled what I thought was maybe the title '....we could have had it all ahh ahh....' and up it sprang, watched a couple of vidoes on youtube and checked out some of the other tracks and I was hooked.Adele has a wonderful expressive voice, with lots of depth, this is replicated throughout the whole album with some great songs of angst for love and love lost. The production is brilliant, maintaining the soulful mood throughout. A massive step forward from her '19' album of a couple of years ago and if she continues to progress in this way, she is already showing great potential to be a fantastic, Original Singer / Songwriter who will be around for a long long time.I don't think there is a duff track on the whole album, Buy it now and you won't be disappointed.
